The food was ok...I've had better, I've had worse. Service was outstanding. However, I had to look at a Republican fundraising... sign staring me in the face while I ate my meal, which kind of made me lose my appetite and left a bad taste in my mouth. Idon't care that they're Republican, as long as they don't care if they lose a customer. I'll never eat here again. Read more
Very close to a ???????? breakfast sandwich. We were the first to arrive. We were greated and seated right away. I orded a ham,... fried egg and cheese sandwich. It was perfect, fresh and delicious. The crunch you get from the toasty ???? is memorable. Theonly thing I would change from this visit is the fact that when we arrived our server,(which we did not know was our server) wasoutside smoking. So when she arrived at our table all we smelled was cigarette smoke. It is so important to wash hands andfreshen up when working at a restaurant. But we still made sure to hit the congas on our way out, to show we enjoyed our meal. Read more
=>=>DISRESPECTFUL OWNER<=<= My mom and I visited the restaurant yesterday after a long, sad day. Our intention was to have a... nice, quiet lunch. The restaurant was empty besides *3 other patron tables and shortly after our food arrived, a man walked inand joined one of the tables. They began talking very loudly and we could not help but overhear that one of the men was theowner. My mom and I could barely hear ourselves over their conversation which we tried to overlook until they started usingobscene profanities. We could not believe that the owner himself would speak in such a manner in front of his customers. My momand I decided to move to another table at the opposite end of the restaurant. I commented to the owner that he should considerhis choice of vocabulary especially in the presence of women. He responded by stating that he did not see us even though we werethe table directly in front of him. We continue to our new table as we ourselves move our own plates, drinks, etc. and he thensays ?maybe you should complain to the owner? which was an obvious sly comment given that he himself is the owner. I asked him?are you suggesting I complain to you since I overheard you saying you are the owner?? he responded by saying ?there?s thedoor?. My mom wanted to leave as we are not used to these type of situations given we were raised with class and grace butinstead we ask the waitress for the check. We paid the check with no discount or apology given and leave. I am a huge supporterof Latin owned establishments, but due to the blatant disrespect, it is important that the community be aware of the horrendousservice AND overpriced, mediocre food. I really liked the chicken soup with the cuban torta, They do chucks and you can taste how good its cooked, very yumme. One of... the cafes has lechera and is divine taste, as a mexican +1 for using lechera. Read more
Nice homey atmosphere. Food is fresh and quick. Had the soup and sandwich combo and it was delicious. Café con leche is a must.... Perfect amount of coffe, sugar, just on point. Read more
The Friday fish special was oily and the fish was rubbery. It didn't seem that fresh. The other food we had was decent. I... think they should have swept and cleaned the tables a little better considering that it was only one other patron there. Thesteak salad was pretty good. I had a pork dish that was decent it reminded me of pot roast in a good way. Read more
When they tell you the sandwich is "giant" it really is GIANT.. steak, onions, tomato and fried egg. I loved every bite ....the... other chicken dish was kinda cold when it got to the table but also good flavor. The rice had bacon in it so the server broughtover another plate of beans and rice. A solid 4.3 stars! The tostones was perfectly crisp and fried to golden brown. I really liked that it was pancake size rather... than chip size (commonly served size). The breakfast sandwich with jamon, eggs and cheese was excellent in its fattiness andsaltiness. The fresh french bread had a nice soft fluff with a crisp crust. I really enjoyed the cubano sandwich also. Idefinitely will need to return to try the empanadas and other cuban fare. Read more
