Food is still delicious after almost 18 years! Even with the new owners the food took me back to childhood. You have to try it!!
Very tasty. I ordered Bar-B-Q pork, pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp cashew. We were very pleased. It is true... that the food has that authentic Chicago flavor. Read more
This place was a pleasant surprise. Good solid Chinese American takeout done well. Usually I don't go for Chinese American food... but this place actually hits the spot. Not overly sweet or gooey. The fat noodles are good. Generous portions, good price, fast,piping hot food. It's become a standard when when we need takeout. Only minor quibble is this is clearly Cantonese style inspired food but they call in Shanghai Inn without Shanghainese dish on the menu. I suppose they figured most people here don'tknow the difference.. Still recommend the place. Update: unfortunate recently the restaurant hasn't been as good. Last orderof general tso was almost entirely breading without much meat. I understand inflation is hitting restaurants hard but it wasalmost inedible. I felt I was eating fried dough in sauce. Hopefully they will find a new ground for survival but stillserviceable food soon. Read more

Nice place very welcoming. Their place is very clean and food is served fast and steaming hot. We had a veggie plate and... pineapple shrimp and they were both very tasty. First time here and now I'm a fan. I'll be returning, two thumbs up! Read more

Great place for comfort food. Fresh vegetables, chicken breast, fluffy rice, and tasty sauce. They do a lot of take out orders... so sometimes it's easy to get a table. Nice people. Read more
