I don't normally take pictures of my food, but this burrito al pastor sent goosebumps down my spine. An exquisite balance of... spices, cilantro, cheese, melt in your mouth pork, and other magic, made it a meal I will not forget. Read more
This experience was so close to a 5 star experience! The food was beautiful presented and delicious. You can tell the chef is... passionate about her work. The decor was lovely and bright yet sexy and modern. My only complaint was I felt like my server hada language barrier which may have hindered her ability to be personable and pleasant. Service for me is pretty important andbeing able to ask the server about certain dishes and etc is important. There was 2 other people I spoke to who also seemed tonot be able to communicate or not want to speak at all. I love this place-it's very nice and has great food. I really enjoyed the food and the drinks here. I had the Mezcal 28 Magarita and it was great. We had an El Kentucjy Cruz at the... table too, it came in an adorable Terra Cota cup. I had a burrito asada for my main course. It is really hard to find arestaurant in Chicago that serves up good margaritas and proper burritos. The struggle is real. I love trying new taco places and Tacos Loteria might just be one of the good ones. We got the Asada, Barbacoa, Carnitas,... Chorizo con papa and Pastor tacos, one better than the other. The best part is that each taco is generously stuffed, filled andbursting with flavor. I’d recommend the chorizo con papa, it’s a fusion that did not disappoint.
