This was the worst tasting paneer butter masala we’ve ever had without exaggeration. If I give them the benefit of a doubt... that regularly it tastes better than what we were given, then it is a terrible thing that the larger framed lady at the windowhanded us this subpar order, knowing it has been watered down, and a naan that was soft as opposed to the crispy request givenupon call. Looking back, it was sketchy that they had our food ready, and look like it’s been ready for a while, with only 8mins ETA drive from when we called to our arrival for pickup. The gravy was very spicy, and that is all that was done to it. Itlacked salt and seasoning. It was watered down to fill up our tiffin, but looked like it was last batch on the pot that isn’tfresh. Shame on these people. In terms of service, it was definitely not great either. We called around 9:20pm to ask price forpaneer butter masala, and a louder toned lady shouted behind scenes to person taking our order to make sure it can be picked upby 10pm. We heard the whole conversation they had that delayed our phone call, and the soft spoken lady came back to the phoneto us to say it needs to be picked up before 10pm. We said we were 5 mins away and that’s no problem. Then as we were hurriedto pickup our order, the lady continued to take our personal details and blatantly continued to ignore my query of how muchthings would be before I decide to make an order. Finally my husband emphasized to her again that we need to know cost first,and finally she answered. By this time she had already wasted so much time that we went ahead and placed it, on top of myhusband specifically requesting extra cooked crispy naan. Again as stated, we arrived 8 mins from our call, and I didn’t thinkmuch of it, till tasted how badly the food was, but that is just so odd that the dish is ready and not piping hot anymore 8 minsfrom when we placed order. The food is excellent and the restaurant is one of my faves. However, I have to report that on a Saturday night we arrived at... 9:20 and were told the restaurant closed at 9:15. The posted closing time on Google and also on their menu is 10pm. 45 minutesbefore closing is rather early to close the dining room and this should be noted so that others do not repeat our mistake. Had high expectations and wasn’t necessarily disappointed but not as good as I had hoped. We ordered a few dishes including... chicken vindaloo. Price was 16$ and they sent us a bowl full of sauce and practically no chicken or potatoes. The other 2dishes were just okay. The Aloo Gobi had very little for cauliflower and potatoes in it as well. Lacked the depth of flavor Ihave had at other Indian restaurants. The Samosas were delicious. A little pricey for what you receive, and not sure if I’llreturn. Read more
One of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago! Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Tikka Masala, Biryani, Butter... Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo (spicy!) are all wonderful. If you leave a review saying the food you ate was too spicy, maybe youshould try ordering from a place that doesn’t have Spice in the name! Read more

Overall a nice dinning experience. I highly recommend the rose lassi. The shrimp korma could have used just a pinch more flavor.
I enjoyed the food I ordered – spice level was good and creamy. Service was really bad though. They made us wait nearly half... an hour to be seated when there was a table available, and then not-so-subtly kicked us out for eating late. We were excited to try this place out but quickly disappointed. Ordered chicken curry but seemed like they gave us hot pepper... curry. We expressed that we were unsatisfied and unable to eat that dish and they just laughed. They did not offer any solution.We asked if they were able to remove that dish from the bill and they said no. Very disappointed but they have a lot ofcustomers for take out so we are the least of their concern. They didn’t value us as customers not one bit. Read more
