Chef Zubair Mohajir is a master at his craft, and that mastery manifests itself in his phenomenal cooking. The THC Sando is... easily the best Halal chicken sandwich I have ever had. It had a perfect blend of spice, sweetness, and tart flavor that made itan extremely enjoyable experience to consume. I also got the Inaloban which was a spicy yet delicious soup of noodles, vegetable, and fish. This was also a very tasty meal and something I will definitely be ordering in the future. Chef Zubair wasalso very kind to me and my friends, personally seating us and preparing our table. Overall, I highly recommend wazwan and wouldencourage everyone to try their THC Sando for yourselves Read more

Wazwan's tasting menu is superb - interesting, exciting, different and excellently executed. The coachhouse in some respects is... the opposite of the white-table clothed classic tasting menu venues - the decor is pretty but not polished, the bathroom isbasic, staff are running in and out with industrial sized pots etc. But what it lacks in that traditional polish, the coachhousemakes up for in its exquisite food, quaint charm and personality. Every dish is superb, but the duck in particular was 10/10,as was the accompanying story told by the chef about the 1000 year old recipe used to make it. Chef Zubair doesn't need anyfancy props or dry ice - his inventive dishes, execution and personality makes the Coachhouse a must visit. Read more

Really wanted to try this restaurant for months now, and after visiting with my friends, I am extremely, extremely, disappointed... not with the service, but with the overall taste and quality of the food. In further detail, we ordered the THC Sando and theNihari Momos. Our total came to $70, (4 THC's, Nihari Momos and an extra order of fries). We were super excited to try the THCbased on the good reviews and the fact that it was South Asian fusion food, but we were super dissatisfied. The burger buns wereregular buns which was understandable, the chicken had little to no honey taste to it, and the other toppings seemed to be awarmer version of coleslaw. This had no tandoori taste to it, nor honey, so the burger itself led to this review. The fries, surprisingly, were somehow worse than the burger--- it didn't seem to come to my knowledge how fries good be messed up. I thinkwhat had happened was that it was regular fries, but then the flavoring/seasoning was salty and tangy and unlike any other friesthat we have had anywhere else. It was a great experience though. Read more

WOW! This was an excellent fresh take on South Asian spices and flavor profiles fused with Western proteins and elements. Not... only was every course intentional and delicious, the service was warm, friendly and overall great vibes! We were so thrilledwith the tasting menu that we also had to try the main menu as well... So we ordered the chicken Sando and the nihari Momo. Soglad we did because it was an excellent night cap for my belly! Shout out to Chef Zubair, drinks guru Kevin, and Abraham formaking our first experience so fun and memorable! We are already planning another trip back! Highly recommend everyone try outWazwan and the Wazwan Coach House tasting menu... This is the type of non-restaurant group owned establishment that I love tosupport! Read more

The Coach House is a completely separate restaurant from Wazwan. It is located in an actual brick coach house that survived the... Chicago fire. You walk through Wazwan to get there. They serve an eight course tasting menu at either counter or table seating.A maximum of 16 guests can be accommodated at one time, and there are currently two seatings per night on Thursday throughSaturday. Chef Zubair's food is primarily influenced by memories of his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, but is also influenced bySouth Asian Cuisine, and his experience at restaurants working for Jean Georges Vongerichten and Thomas Keller. I love Indianfood, and was expecting a lot from this meal, but I was blown away by the complexity of flavors. This has been a busy week forus, with dinner at three Michelin starred restaurants, and The Coach House was better than any of them! We couldn't even pick afavorite course, there were so many spectacular ones. And every single ingredient and flavor was there for a reason, withflavors in a single bite building as you savored it, and lingering long after. Service was very friendly, and Cheg Zubair isincredibly personable and informative. I really can't say enough good things about the experience. You just need to try ityourself. Compared to other Michelin-rated places, it's an absolute steal, and an experience you won't soon forget. Thisrestaurant is BYOB. Read more

?????????????????????Unique fusion flavors bringing together indian and south-east asian cuisines. They do dine and take-out... with a comfort food menu that keeps changing. Additionally, there’s a more upscale tasting menu experience that you can buytickets for via Tock. We walked-in for the casual options and got Nihari Momos, THC Chicken Sando, Inaloban, and Fries. Inalobanstood out as a unique and delectable ‘Pho meets curry’ dish. Spent $55 for a party of 2 and had leftovers. Service wastop-notch. This place made a great first impression. We’ll be back to try their tasting menu. Read more

They were having a private party and they were only doing take outs but after when we told them that we drove 4 hours to be in... Chicago, they let us eat, which we appreciated so much. But more than that the food was so amazing. Everything we ordered frommomos, to mushroom Korma and chettinad chicken. Everything so delicious. But I have to go ahead and say it, all the people whoare working there were so welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely come back. Thank you for an amazing experience ?? Wealso got so hungry that forgot to take pictures of our main course. Read more

Sat at the Chef’s Counter for the 8 Course Tasting Menu at the Coach House. From start to finish, it was an expertly guided... exploration and showcase of flavours, spices, and ingredients. My favourite dish was the Sablefish. The deft preparation andastounding spices stayed on my palate long after I had finished the dish. Read more
