Was a loyal patron. Last night I showed my global entry card (federally issued) as my form of ID. Security guy said ?We don?t... take it, I know the law.? When I asked him why he just kept saying he knew the law and they don?t take it, eventually landingon: ?that?s for traveling, not drinking, I know the law.? I said ?why do you accept driver?s licenses, then? Aren?t those fordriving not drinking?? I showed him the us.gov website making it clear that global entry is a government ID. I?m not sure if hewas power tripping or just in a bad mood, but he just kept saying ?we don?t take it? By the way I have a huge beard andwrinkles, I?m 26 but look like a 35 year old man. Really like this place for a dive bar. Reasonably priced drinks and dare I say the burger and fries are actually pretty good.... Open pretty late for hyde park standards so a good place to go if you dont want to treck to south loop or downtown for a latenight drink. Jukebox and plenty of seating. Only down side is that its cash only, so make sure you have that on hand. There isan atm in there but standard atm upcharge. Read more

Bartender was extremely rude to me and my friends. It seemed like she did not like us from the moment we walked in. We were very... polite but she was still very disrespectful to us. Seemed like she was racist and just did not like black people honestly. Read more
