My husband and I had reservations for 6:30, not knowing the roads were going to be a mess for a parade. We called letting them... know we were running behind trying to find parking, and they were so polite and said they’d hold our reservation. This meant alot since we drove an hour to be there! The food and drinks and atmosphere are amazing. The staff are incredible. It was ouranniversary so they gave us a free dessert for us to share and signed a nice card for us. If you haven’t been, go! This is where we go for a great steak and/or special occasions. This time we were there for our anniversary and they went, as... always, above and beyond! The service is amazing and the food is delicious. A top quality place! They made our anniversarydinner extra special when our server brought us dessert and a thoughtful card signed by the staff. It may be a bit pricier thanother places in Chico, but worth every penny. We always look forward to eating there. I highly recommend 5th Street steakhouse. They are 5 stars all the way. Update: We have been back several times, since our anniversary in June and I can honestly saythat they never disappoint. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere is top notch everytime! A half inch ribeye at a steak house?! Seriously? This is a joke. I’ve never been to a legit steakhouse that serves a less than... 1/2” steak. I could get this at Safeway for 10 bucks. Service was great, cocktails good, sides okay but to serve a 1/2”steak at a steakhouse is ridiculous. The flavor was okay. I imagine this is done to double profits per plate. For the owner: itmay be a small town but don’t take advantage. This is crazy especially if anyone has been to a real steak house. My wife hadthe filet which looked amazing. Omg... I've been living in Chico for 34 years & tonight was my first time having dinner here. Hands down one of the best, if not... THE best restaurants I've been to in Chico. The best steak house in Chico! Our waitress was very observant and discovered I didn’t like my cocktail, she helped me get a... new one with no questions asked. The food was delicious, BBQ shrimp sauce was awesome and the special pan seared salmon wasamazing. Read more

Outstanding! First time visitors from New England and were referred here for a fancy holiday dinner with my mother in law.... Amazing service from Mary, our server, who was polite, professional and gracious. I had the sole petral special which wasoutstanding, and my wife had a tender filet, cooked to perfection with amazing garlic mashed potatoes. Another family memberraved about the surf and turf (steak and shrimp). Fried calamari and jumbo shrimp made an excellent appetizer to share. A great fine dining experience. Our waiter Nick was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The wait staff made regular visits... and had dishes cleared within a minute of finishing the dish. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the dessert was tasty. Can'twait to go back! Read more
