Not sure if I can give a fair review, I?ve only been here two times. The first time I ordered a steak sandwich. everything was... perfect and delicious. When I went back for the second time it was like a completely different restaurant, I ordered the exactsame meal and it was basically inedible. I ended up just eating the bread and throwing the meat to the dog. Read more

We showed up at closing but, we were told we could eat at one of the tables outside. We were famished! Every bite was mouth... watering wonderful. Can't wait to return. Read more

I've had mixed experiences with Kinder's, sometimes it's good sometimes not. Below is a not. I ordered a well done burger, and... it's awful pink for that category. Then there are the over done fries. Not their best. Read more

As someone who used to be a frequent flyer to this restaurant from 2009 to 2015 I?m going to try to be exact in this review here... on my revisit in 2022. The new location is nice with all the parking however I never really found parking to be an issue before. As others stated it is hard to see where to order from the road/ parking area. A simple sign would be tremendous help here. Thenew location seems like it?s the side or back area of someone?s house instead of a hole in the wall restaurant like before. Iwonder if there?s some financial issues behind the scenes as to why they had to change locations. We ordered several differentmeats and only their bbq beef seemed fit for human consumption. The other meats seemed spoiled and smelled like they had justscooped it off the road hours prior where it was probably was closer to a servable temperature. It?s really hard not to usehumor to cope as I loved this restaurant so much when it was downtown. I?m not even sure if it was changing locations that bentthis restaurant over or if it?s a lack of qualified help or maybe something such as employee burn out but it was a truly tragicexperience this evening. Maybe this experience was because it was 2 hours before closing on a Friday and they are not open onweekends. (Not to say that the employees were not entertaining to chat with or helpful) the saving grace of this place was thefamiliarity and well met expectations of the tried and true taquilia lime fries and sauce. I feel like a different restaurantmurdered this one and is now wearing its skin and has moved to a new location. It?s also worth noting that we had planned to eatthere but ended eating back at the hotel as the 3 bbq covered tiny tables just didn?t seem like an enjoyable experience. Read more

Pains me to say this, but I can't recommend what used to be one of my favourite places until they figure out their order system.... I beg of them to figure it out, but until then I won't be returning. Kinders is at it's best, low to medium quality cuts ofmeat that are just cooked and seasoned so well and combined with other high-quality ingredients that it's great. It's theclosest thing to real BBQ in Chico, just don't get the ribeye sandwich because the meat is nothing but gristle. Having saidthat, my last five orders which have been placed by a combination of walk-up, call ahead, or door dash delivery, have eitherbeen wrong, given away to others by accident, taken forever, or something else went wrong. Today I got cold sandwiches and theywasted my time because I ordered at the window and no one thought to call out my name when the order was ready. I also orderedand was charged for fries but that wasn't in the bag. Last week my door dasher said they gave my order to someone else andwasted my dasher's time, and the order still came wrong. The staff is working their hardest and the food is still as good asever but the system is broken! Please fix and let me know when it's safe to return! Read more

Been waiting a few weeks to eat here. My husband saw you were in Chico and just HAD to have dinner here. We tried last Friday... but it was past closing time when we decided to go. We were going to come on Saturday but found you're closed on theweekends. We finally got to see what we had been missing. I ordered a brisket sandwich and was told they were out. I thenordered a rib eye steak sandwich. When I opened my sandwich much to my surprise, it was brisket! Unfortunately the brisket wasabout 75% fat. I know brisket is fatty, that's what makes brisket yummy but it was so fatty I couldn't eat it. I went up to askfor more napkins and said "looks like I got brisket instead of the rib eye" and she said "oh they must have overheard you reallywanted it". I then advised her that there was a considerable price difference to which she shrugged her shoulders and closedthe window. Not only did I pay $15.75 for a $11.xx brisket sandwich, but it was more like a fat sandwich. I like to keep my $$local but the food wasn't great and the service was less than stellar. $50 down the drain but lesson learned. Read more

Pulled pork was amazing, not usually a fan of Cole slaw, but it complemented the bbq flavor perfectly
