Unfortunately the capacity of the place was wayyy too small for the event, tables and chairs too close to each other, meal was... ok lacked a little bit of flavor, bean salad was the best. Read more

This is my second time at this great restaurant. I was here once in 2018 and to my surprise it was just as good! The Schnitzel... is amazing, the best I've ever had! It pairs so well with the spetzel and their red cabbage and Cole slaw are very good. Alsotheir sausage choices are very tasty. I was impressed with the huge beer selection and loved the sample options. The staff isalso very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very considerate of my party celebrating graduation and extremely patient when westayed past closing. I would highly recommend coming here and can't wait to come back! Read more

One of my all time favorite restaurants!!! We?ve been 5+ times this year! The pretzel crusted chicken with mashed and the red... cabbage is amazing. Highly recommend getting in the French Onion Soup as your starter or the HUGE pretzel with mustard. Read more

The food was decent the clam chowder was delicious. I felt the food was a little bland and could use a little salt. Just to the... point the patron could make there mind up if the dish could use a little hit. A little expensive but I will give another chanceto see if it gets better or if I should give up on this place all together Read more

Nice German restaurant. The food is decent. During non Covid times there are usually a lot of people at the bar and it can get a... bit loud. Definitely try the large pretzel appetizer! Lots of schnitzel options. The lamb was a real winner! Read more

It was my son's 17TH birthday dinner. We had a great time with excellent food. We looked on the website before going to look at... the menu. The menu given to us didn't have some things on it that we were hoping to get. We simply asked our waitress if themeals we wanted were available, and she said they are. We were all excited.... This really made the dinner great. She was veryknowledgeable about the ingredients in each meal. The wife and I eat a clean diet. This is an excellent establishment... I thinkwe will be coming back here again... The picture is my sausage platter... House made, gluten-free... Read more

Good German restaurant in broader Springfield metro area. The selection of German beer on draft was great. The bar tender was... fantastic and knew the names of all the locals at the bar area & what they all drank. The house fresh made potato chips with dipwas outstanding surprise perk sitting at bar area. I ordered the Munich Platter which had pork shank, bratwurst, and chickenstyle schnitzel with white sauce. The chicken schnitzel was very very good, the bratwurst with gravy sauce was good, but forsure needed the horseradish or ground mustard sauces. The pork shank had a little "farmy" aroma and was a bit chewy & wasn't astender as expected. The red cabbage and kraut was very good though & helped. I would for sure try the Schnitzel platter or otherschnitzel options next time. Read more

Food isn?t bad but it?s not German food at all. I?m not a German but lived in Munich for 4 years. The sausages and sauerkraut... are not authentic at all. The sausages are not German style/flavors, sauerkraut is pretty sweet which it?s not supposed to besweet and spaetzel is too dry. Only pretzel is fresh and good. It?s German-themed restaurant but not German food restaurant. Read more
