We've never been to Castaways before, but we thought we'd give it a try. We started with The Castaway Platter which was several... different appetizers and dipping sauce, We also tried the Artichoke Dip. They were all very good.i had the Cuban with homemadechips, one of the others had GFS with waffle fries, the others had the Patty Melt, Cheesy Italian Beef with tatertots, and 1other sandwich. They were all good and we left stuffed! The waitress was a hoot and stayed on top of things. It was worth the30 minute drive. Read more

Castaways give off a little bit of a drive bar atmosphere but it is clean and decorated for the beach. There are a number of... items hanging in the rafters and on the wall that bring Margaritville to Chillicothe. We tried only the appetizer menu. Ourfirst stop had us ordering a sampler basket with cheesy cauliflower bites, fried green beans, mini tacos, and fried picklechips. All were good, but the pickle chips were the winner - salty, very lightly breaded, fried, and served with ranch dressingfor dipping. We also ordered 1/2 dozen boneless wings with one of their fantastic list of suacues. We choose salted carameljalapeño - a strange combination that was delicious (I love hot and sweet together). Our second trip we tried PBJ and hotgarlic parmesan. Both were very good. The hot garlic parmesan is spicy and tangy. The PBJ was a peanut butter lovers delight -buttery, sweet with peanut pieces. The service was very friendly and fast. Everything was served directly from the kitchen hotand ready. I'd like to try some of their sandwiches, but I can't get past all of the sauce combinations for the wings. We'llreturn for sure. Read more
