We stopped in around 1pm on a Saturday and they weren't very busy. The host/bartender was super helpful walking us through the... specials. We got two apps and two sandwiches. Everything was really delicious. The ahi tuna was perfectly seared and the lightlypickled cucumbers and onion complimented the fish very well. The pretzels were soft and buttery but the cheese dip was the realstar. The pot roast sandwich was deliciously rich and beefy without making the bun unpleasantly soggy. I was suspicious aboutthe extra sauce on the pot roast but it definitely worked. The chicken sandwich was delicious as well. Both sandwiches came withperfectly seasoned crispy chips which I think they must make in house. Unfortunately we were on the road so we didn't stickaround for desert. First time at R Kitchen. Was recommended it by friends. The food did not disappoint! The burgers were delicious! The pretzel... bite appetizer were probably the best pretzels we've ever had! Super fresh melt in your mouth pretzels. I had the jalapeñoburger. It was amazing ???? Read more
Busy place but well worth the wait. Our steaks were grilled to perfection. The mashed potatoes and corn sides were very good.... The wedge salad was good and the dressing was interesting. Meatloaf was very good. Ask for no ketchup or on the side. It comeswith a lot. Dinner is mostly cold plates with a few favorites like steak, fish and chips , meatloaf, and chicken. Possibly the best meal I have eaten in Ross County other than the ones I cook. My sweetie and I shared the beets and goat cheese... as an appetizer. It comes with arugula and cashews drizzled with honey. It was fabulous, beets are so under utilized, It was ayummy start to our meal. I had the special which was pan fried walleye over grits with an arugula salad. The fish was perfectlycooked over creamy grits surrounded by a tomatoes butter sauce that reminded me of an etoufee from Louisiana. My sweetie had theribeye steak with blue cheese butter. The steak was well cooked and well seasoned, and the blue cheese butter put it over thetop! So happy we donned local tonight! We will be regular customers. Read more
Always a favorite!! I love that this place is on the smaller side, which in my opinion make the quality of food better. Love the... atmosphere, decor and exposed brick!! If you're wanting comfort food a must try is the Meatloaf Stack! Creme Brulee wasamazing!! Read more
