My wife and I discovered this when we moved to Chilliwack. Coming from Surrey, we did find we were missing out on the delicious... local cuisine. When we found Royal Zayka that feeling of missing out no longer existed. We go here twice a month at least. Wefind the food and the workers incredible. Service was quite slow. It seemed that they were busy, but a couple tables were empty with reserved signs. Even though I... wanted to order another beverage the server ignored me. When asked how our meal was the server walked away while I responded todeal with a delivery person. The food was ok but every time we visited the buffet most of the dishes were empty. I usually likespicier dishes so I would probably be better off ordering from the menu. I hope that this was a one time experience since mylast visit pre-pandemic visit was very good. Edit: Thursday, July 28 2022 I order the malai kofta with a butter chicken sauce and 2 Naan. The best I've ever had. The... butter chicken sauce was rich and creamy. You could actually taste delicious butter and not just tomato. Out of thisworld. So, if you are reading this today, go and order now. The chef is on point and won't disappoint. They are a hidden gem. Some of the best Indian in BC. The Naan is fantastic, it's not like some kind of pita bread offered elsewhere. Zafrani MalaiKofta is delicious, we normally have the regular malai Kofta but the hostess suggested the Zafrani and BAAAMMMMM! SO GOOD. Enjoyed most of the dinner. Nice dish like water chestnut. All the favorites, tandoori chicken, butter chicken balsamic rice. I... just didn't favor the Naan bread, a little soft.
