BBQ lovers’ paradise. We’ve had a lot of good Texas brisket and a fair amount of good NC pulled pork; this was excellent... brisket and the best pulled pork I’ve ever had—plus good dry-rub ribs with great crust. We sorta expected a tourist trap butwere blown away. All meats have great smokiness that comes from their applewood-fired smoker. Great mustard bbq sauce, thoughthe red bbq sauce was a little too sweet and gelatinous. Good collards, good mac&cheese (though the texture was a little runny),small but good hush puppies, nice slaw for freshness, juicy and well-seasoned fried green tomatoes app. They just opened insummer 2022, but they pay attention to details, like toasted buns. Good beer selection. Service was warm and attentive andpretty fast, at least when it wasn’t super busy. Meals $10-20. The most fun and best value is the $13 ‘top of the rock’sandwich with pulled pork and brisket inside (topped with slaw and two sauces) plus a big ol’ smoked chicken wing on top, plusa side and a little slaw. This place was delicious! We visited on a Saturday and there was no wait. We sat outside. Service was super fast. We had ribs,... smoked Mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw, cider, and hush puppies. Everything was hot a delicious. We also loved the live music!Can’t wait to come back. Read more

AMAZING PLACE!! We\'re in the area for wedding tours and stopped in after gem mining. Best decision! Great people and amazing... food! Stuff you don\'t have often but really well made. Just opened a week ago. Struggling with help and poor waitstaff. Cocktails were awesome. I had the ribs and not very good. ... Hated the bake beans, mostly a Lima bean blend. They were out of pulled pork that day. The brisket was very tasty. Try theBloody Mary very good. Read more
This place was FANTASTIC. Stopped in after seeing Chimney Rock. So glad we did. Place was extremely clean with a great... atmosphere. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Food came out fast, hot and most importantly was absolutelydelicious. We shared the BBQ Poutine which came highly recommended by the staff. Curly fries, cheese sauce, BBQ, and dill ranchfor dipping…what’s not to love? Also had a few local brews on tap and a blackberry mojito. Definitely coming back on ournext visit to Lake Lure!
