Staff were super attentive. We ate outside on the patio and they came and checked on us many times. The veggies, beef, and... seafood were all very fresh and delicious. My only suggestions are that the ponzu could've used a bit more lemon and less sugar.And the patio area and the area near the cashier could've used some tidying up. Read more

If you're in LA and craving for hotpot with fresh meats, veg and seafoods with your family and friends, Shabu Wara is definitely... worth dining at. My family and I had the sukiyaki and tomyam broth with seafood, lamb and beef as proteins and rice. In winter,the hotpot HIT THE SPOT. Fresh meats, flavourful broth, generous cuts of fresh vegetables. Staff were all professional andprompt in ensuring diners are having  a wonderful experience. BRING YOUR OWN SALT! or seasoning for that matter… the broth was soooo bland, it was not good! The only reason for the 3rd... star is because of the service! Our waitress was soo nice, helpful and was able to answer all our questions. To start we ordereda pitcher of Sapporo and an appetizer of Spicy Tuna over crispy rice. Which is the one food item I do recommend! My friend doesNOT eat raw seafood but said he couldn’t even taste the fish! He really liked it as well! And for dinner we had the spicytonkotsu broth and forgot which protein we ordered! But either way I DO NOT recommend the hot pot as it was flavorless and verydisappointing! Delicious and really meat experience. A little pricey. Paid around 130 for three people, but it being our first time was worth... the experience. The proteins we chose were delicious as well as the broths. Plenty to choose from. Staff was very attentive andmade sure you were enjoying your time there. Amazing deal BOGO 50% off sushi rolls!!! We loved the sushi was made fresh and delicious! I also recommend trying the fried fish... mackerel was very good. There was outdoor seating and staff was excellent service very attentive and wearing ppe mask withgloves. Me and my family felt very safe eating in the environment and also keep social distancing.
