I don't really know of any Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area that serves Salmon skin salad. It is super delish.
My ULTIMATE FAVORITE MEAL is found in this restaurant. I ALWAYS order their 2-item Bento Box with TERIYAKI SALMON & MISO BASS. ... It's more expensive now but that's understandable because of what's going on with our economy. But if you were to indulge oncein a while, order their Miso Bass. It's worth every dollar. Their Servers are very friendly. Try their MISO SALAD DRESSING!It's delicious! You could buy a bottle of it at this restaurant. What I think this restaurant could improve on is how theymake their california roll. It breaks apart as you pick it up with chopsticks. But once in your mouth, they're delicious.:D Parking could be a challenge in this area especially during the weekend. Most of the time, there's a line of people waitingto get in. But that's a good sign that Ojiya's food is really good. I'm a FAN. My family and friends are FANS of thisrestaurant. I just don't like how they mess up when we order online. Lol. Atmosphere - 4 _ Makes it feel like a small joint in Japan. Wood Japanese style decor. Service - 4 _ our waitress was swift to... tend to our request. The chefs were kind enough to give my daughter just rice. Food Items tried. Salmon Sushi _W/ Miso sauce _4.5 Full flavored Ordered two plates. Salmon Sushi _ Seared W/Pepper _ 5 Full flavored. Red Dragon roll _ 3 I'm not big onrolls as it is. So consider that The red dab of spicy sauce, I don't like, took it off. Been coming here for over 5 years and it's no doubt the best and most authentic sushi in Chino Hills. You definitely won't be... disappointed. Tip: Order off the specials menu for a true culinary experience. Read more
So happy to have stumbled upon this little gem. My boyfriend and I came in for a late dinner at about 8pm, and we were lucky... enough to be able to sit at the last two seats available at the sushi bar.
