For a place that is supposed to be highly rated with friendly staff was a huge disappointment. We get there asked a waitress if... we could be seated, or if it was ok to seat at the empty table they had. The waitress said yes we could sit down at that table. Then the hostess came over and was THE rudest, judgemental, snooty person I have EVER encountered. We weren’t dressed highclass just normal human beings staying at their hotel, but she made me and friends feel like we were not good enough for theirrestaurant. Well needless to say we decided to leave and as we are walking out the hostess goes to the waitress and startswhispering and laughing. Hate to throw in the race card but I can’t help but feel her behavior reflects on the racism andprejudices in this world. She doesn’t know us or what we do for a living. At some point she and/or her family will be needingmedical attention and this medical group of gals will not be so nice when that happens. So much for nurses and doctors beinghero’s during the pandemic…only to be treated like that. Read more

Had a great meal here. Friendly attentive staff. I ordered a petit filet, a couple oysters, mushroom risotto and some truffle... fries. Everything tasted great, my steaks rarity was exactly as ordered. A bit pricey but worth it. Read more

Solo traveler, looking for a decent meal on the road. Decided on takeout from Wissota Chippewa Falls location. From the moment I... placed the order over phone, I knew service was not going to be great. The person over the phone was not eager to take my call, and I felt as if I was a nuisance. I assumed, they must be busy! Upon arrival, there were two tables dining inside, two peopleat the bar. I was greeted by someone, and I stated I was there for pickup. When presented with the check, my bravarian pretzelwas not included. No big deal, I asked for it to be added to the check. While waiting, I paid and tipped extra for a takeout. Iasked a server for napkins for the to-go order. They did not have any, I was offered bevnaps from the bar. For a restaurantattached to a hotel, I would assume napkins would be standard for takeout. I waited for my pretzel, added it to my take out bagand walked out. Shortly after walking out the door, a server comes running out the door, down the road, and approaches me to askif I paid for the pretzel. Of course I did!! The server didn’t even take the opportunity to look at the bill/receipt prior torunning out the door. I was embarrassed, it was awkward. For missing my order all together, I didn’t think it was sidewalkworthy running after a paying customer. Upon sitting down for my supper, serval things were messed up. The mashed potato’s hasscallions after requesting to be on the side, the pretzel was missing the mustard, and the pretzel was cut into 4 pieces. Iunderstand it was a big pretzel, but the restaurant has pizza boxes for their flat bread and no need to ruin the pretzel. Whichbrings me to the flat bread. Although great flavor, it was soggy and flimsy. Overall experience for a chop house, C-. I will notbe returning. Read more

We went to the Chop House for the first time for our 42nd Anniversary. It was so loud we had a hard time having a conversation.... I had a cosmopolitan. It tasted like koolaid with a cup of sugar. The bartender needs to learn how to make a good cosmopolitan. The food was good but the steaks were overdone. They were ordered medium rare but came out medium well. Fortunately they weregood. The roasted asparagus was delicious and so were the garlic mashed potatoes. Due to the loudness, terrible Cosmo andoverdone steaks we probably won't go back. Vey expensive for over done steaks. My partner and I came here for our anniversary. We're from DC but were in town visiting my mom for the week, and we were... pleasantly surprised to find this place right in downtown Chippewa. The service was excellent and we both really enjoyed ourmeals. We appreciated that they not only had expensive cuts of meat (which, full disclosure, we did not partake in), but alsosome really affordable options on their small plates menu. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. Read more

Not worth your time or money. If you want a decent steak then do not come here. I purchased the 85 day aged ribeye, cooked to... the “cooks recommendation“ and it came out medium and dry. The worst way to spend $100 on a steak. At least the staff werefriendly, but it might have been the place was nearly empty during a typical dining hour. Cocktails were unremarkable yet asexpensive as you would find in a major city. Crab cakes were decent. Mushroom risotto was fine. Decor inside was bland andgeneric. I was excited to visit this place initially, but after visiting here I will never go again. Read more

When I was looking at hotels, I noticed this restaurant was next to one in downtown Chippewa Falls, and I had to give it a try... based on the reviews and the menu. Too bad they ran out of the featured blackened swordfish, but they did have an amazingRibeye, along with awesome sides. I really enjoyed the crust and flavor of the ribeye, and the garlic potatoes and Brusselsprouts complimented the meal so well. The carrot cake for dessert was incredible, and the roasted candied pecans were a greattouch! Read more
