Quite a nice brewery right off of highway 8. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In fact I should have asked sooner for... recommendations, but they were spot on (I thought the best one was called ShapeShifter, though the Harvest Loon was an excellentIPA too). Trivia night (Wednesday) was great, I do like the group they bring in to run it, Trivia Mafia, who does an awesome jobtoo. Good beer, good people! Stopped by on our way to Duluth from the cities, and what a good decision that was! I had a punt of the... ?Uncommon Blond? which was a phenomenal cream ale. Also tried their blonde ?Speckled Loon? which was a nice easy Pale Ale. Read more

This is by far my favorite brewery! I'm incredibly picky about my beer and have tried hundreds of different beers over the years... and am lucky to find one I like at a brewery. Common Loon has 4 beers I like! Their beers are very smooth with no aftertaste. I love their atmosphere too. It's so inviting with the colorful umbrellas at each individual patio table and the sofasinside if you want to sit on a sofa. Awesome atmosphere and great beer! They switch up the menu pretty regularly with new brews so there's always a reason to come... back. The outdoor patio is nice and they have live music every so often. The staff is also super friendly! When our goldenretriever accidentally left behind his bandana, one of the staff saved it for us and gave it back the next time we camearound! Uncommon Loon has definitely become a go-to spot for us!
