Wonderful little cafe on Chokoloskee Island. We were greeted with the friendliest welcome and sat ourselves where we wanted in... the garden. The food was delicious, portions big and price very reasonable! Also, massive coffee cups. Read more

Great news!!! HavAnnA Cafe is open again after Hurricane Ian. The owner used an ingenious combination of duct tape and a sealant... advertised on tv and it kept the storm surge out of the building and the kitchen intact. Power is on and they are cooking!!! Wewere in the area and saw lights on so we stopped in. What a warm wonderful welcome, great local ambiance and a terrific dinnerincluding festive and delicious watermelon tequila cocktails to celebrate their re-opening. Stopped in for lunch this time.Great friendly service, lovely garden dining, delicious Cuban food! Great spot for breakfast (and no doubt lunch and dinner aswell) just beyond Everglades City. Lovely little garden and a nice Cuban twist on breakfast favorites. Read more

My wife and I came here to eat breakfast. This place had a nice outdoor vibe with pretty plants. I had scrambled eggs with... diced ham, toast and Cafe con leche(coffee and milk). My wife had an egg and cheese sandwich with a side of home fries(nicefresh cut potato slices). Everything was great tasting. We were their first customers so we had the place to ourselvesbasically. It was a nice experience. We will return soon! Read more

My first visit to the Florida Everglades and Cuban dining experience. Havana Cafe was outstanding! I enjoyed the Shrimp... Enchilado dish - Shrimp in a homemade Cuban marinara sauce, served with sides of white rice, beans, and plantains.Amazing! Also, I didn't get to try the sweet bread, but had neighbors at our campground who couldn't stop talking about it andeven saw them stop by the restaurant while I was there to ask about buying more. ???? Your Everglades experience will not becomplete without a visit to Havana Cafe. Enjoy! Read more

This was a little piece of paradise. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is beautiful and tropical. The food is everything you... would hope authentic Cuban food to be. If you are in this little historic town, you would do yourself a disservice not to stopand eat here. I had the shrimp enchiladao, it's shrimp in a spacy red sauce with white rice and black beans with sweetplantains. The boy got the grouper plate. Read more

My fiance and I had the most wonderful time at this gem of a cafe. We had been on a road trip for 10 days visiting historic FL... treasures based on Tim Dorsey's book and came upon the restaurant on our way to the Smallwood store. There was a line outsidewaiting to be seated in the outdoor courtyard and not one for waiting, I found us a seat at the bar inside. Oh, what a treat itwas. For us the sensuality of a dining experience in part is interacting with the people who craft these dishes. We chatted withchef Carlos as we waited and were able to see him at work preparing our dishes and others. The Cafe con Leche was excellent andso were the oysters and shrimp enchiladas. Cannot wait to go back for more! Read more

The food here deserves four star, however I am rating 3-star due to the service. For a Monday lunch, service was slow and... inconsistent, e.g. chips arrived but salsa arrived after we finished meal, and server running a million direction. The foodrunner did not have a clue of what she was delivering. Captain Wesley from Jungle Erv's Airboat Rides recommended thisrestaurant to us, and glad we followed his advise. Restaurant has a nice feel and ambience to it, humble but beautifulsetup. Was not a fan of the coffee (w/milk) though. Shrimp and fresh oysters were really fresh, homemade salsa tastedgreat. Perhaps we will return again. Read more
