Tweeks Hometown Food Review: I must say.. This little retro scifi diner surprised me. I was just expecting things like burgers... and fries (which they have), but did not expect full 2/3 jumbo baked wings, nor did I expect to find little gems like friedsoftshell crab po boys or optional sides like sauteed asparagus! Bravo! Most of my family either had burgers and "rings ofSaturn", fries or bbq ribs (which were all really good), but this place has a culinary standard that's clearly above average,while still not coming off as "better than thou". Not just your standard burger and fried basket fare! The wings were huge,juicy, and most of all, baked, which takes more time, but makes for a better, more authentic wing. Good marks LIT. I willdefinitely be back. The only Con I can think of is that all surfaces are hard and highly sound reflective. Not good for a placethat bills itself as a sports bar. It was annoyingly loud with all the people and TVs running. Conversation was annoyinglydifficult. I love the classic checkerboard floors.. but would recommend maybe covering all those blank reflective walls withsome space themed carpet.. maybe add some circumferential black lighting.. very much "in theme" for your aesthetic. I liked the space theme and the food and drink were great! They 90's music really sealed the deal on the Roswell vibe (TV... show). I had the chicken sandwich and fries. Our server recommended the grilled chicken over breaded. It was a good choice. Thehost's t-shirt says $1 for every cocktail goes to Ukraine. It was a moral imperative to oblige. The berry basil smash wasamazing! Also, the chicken tenders were enjoyed. All of the staff were very helpful and attentive. I was so glad we had theoccasion to come here! Read more
The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was great. I had the ribeye and it was out of... this world good. The mash potatoes were rich and creamy with nice garlic flavor. Overall it was a wonderful meal at a localrestaurant that is better than the chain restaurants you find along the interstate. Read more
Good food with friendly staff. Sunday afternoon/evening is not the best time to dine. We were seated promptly and wait staff... started off strong, even providing a caution that there was a little wait on food service. During the 30 minute wait for entreorder, we were only checked on 2 times. Many items not available or replacements required due to shortage or sold out. -- Whatwas provided was very good. The steak sliders were cooked to the correct doneness with a very sweet dipping sauce and the sideof asparagus was very flavorful and tender, though meager in portion. The Total Eclipse salad with Chicken was generous and wellprepared, with the chicken being freshly sliced, hot grilled chicken. I always prefer hot meat on my salads, as opposed tochilled. Am a big fan of avocado but was disappointed that what came on this salad was only a single, half slice. Presentationand freshness were good. Read more
This place was excellent! I love the space theme and the great food to back it up. I got the Earth?s Core burger with onion... rings and both were delicious. This place has friendly staff and a lot of care behind it. We?ll make a point to stop by nexttime we?re in Christiansburg. Read more
Interesting place with lots of thought in a new food and fun restaurant! Cheeseburger was great with tater tots, fries or... waffle fries. Baked chicken w BBQ, mashed potatoes and grilled corn was excellent. The owner, Alan came and spoke with us for19 minutes! It was mid afternoon, but thoughtful and I wish him well in his new endeavor! The food is high end and a differentniche than anything else in town. They're developing a lunch menu too. Read more
The food was great! It took a while to get out but they just opened. Get the crash burger with fries! Burger was juicy and the... fries were crispy and fresh ???? Shrimp appetizer was good too. Owner came by to check in and was great thanked us for comingin. Read more
