Excellent lunch here with my wife. She had the beef brisket sandwich and loved it. I had a 1/3 lb burger with mushrooms, swiss... cheese. lettuce and tomato which was excellent. They cut their own french fries so they are very fresh compared to frozen. Notfancy inside but great food. Read more

Hidden in plain site. Home cooking like it should be. This couple has been at it for over ten years and have made a community... name for themselves. The husband is Chef and is well versed in the art of th Q. He is using a southern pride custom built smokerand he knows to use it. The pulled pork is quite good but the brisket is exceptional. I had the lime bean soup with smoked hamand was transported back to my mother's kitchen and that smell of it percolating on the stove as it slowly thickened. I needmore time there to burn through the menu but me and mom are becoming regular as best we can. One dish that is gone when it'sgone is their catfish. The breading is a balanced blend of cornmeal and flour with simple but perfect seasoning. But it the cookthat makes it. It is served piping hot, crisp and delectable. Home made tangy tar tar finish this fish mightily.The sides areall just like home and yummy, the Kale is slightly sweet and the slaw and potato salad are classic style.
