As a family of many generations, we have been eating at this establishment since the late 70's. We've enjoyed every experience... and continued to go back for every birthday celebration as we would do celebrate quarterly birthdays. As the family grew, wewould go on Sunday afternoons to reserve a few tables in one room as it was never busy. We were considerate of the staff. Wecelebrated my grandson's 3rd birthday and my son's birthday in August 2018. We asked our grandson who turned 7 this month wherehe wanted to go celebrate with his Uncle and he said the place where they made food in front of us and sang to me. I made areservation for 5:45 for 8 people for Saturday, August 20, 2022. It's been 4 yrs since our last visit. Covid, cancer, kids insports etc., kept us from going. We arrived at 5:30 told them we were all present we were early but were going to get drinks inthe bar. Finally, after seeing people with no reservations walk in (large groups) get seated, about 6:15 I asked how soon wewould be seated, and the response we got was we asked the server to get a table for you. Finally, 6:30 we were seated, she tookour drink orders and my grandson gave her the certificate he received by email for the Kids birthday club and she rudely gave itback and said we only celebrate birthdays Monday - Thursday and gave the certificate back. It was for a free kids mug with thepurchase of a kids meal. The look on his face was sad, he looked at me and said they don't want to celebrate my birthday? Ithought it could had been handled better for a child. That's just the beginning, things have changed there since our lastvisit, no refills for water, never saw the server, the Chef never interacted with us, like before. The food was good, howeverthe service was not what it used to be. The prices have increased but the service didn't. I was hungry after intermittent fasting, so I decided to eat here. I got Las Vegas rolls, double vegetable fried rice, and... shrimp. The shrimp was a tad bit overcooked, but the chef did well otherwise. For dessert I had chocolate ice which is notpictured, but it was good. Read more
I love Benihana! But when you go with people who never been, it’s a hard experience. It’s not MY job to explain you get... charged for everything a la carte’…. That’s for the host to explain or at least ask has everyone been here before just toget that understanding out first. Had a great time here. They seemed short-staffed so please be patient with them. Still had a great experience and the Chef was... great! We will definitely be back and try some of the other stuff we didn't get to. Their menu just makes me want everything???? When we went I had reserved a time online, which I recommend you do. That said, they were still backed up by 25 minutes. In... one of the Hibachi rooms it got very smokey, I don't think the ventilation hoods were working very well at the table next toours. That said, our chef was really good and entertaining. The food was also really good and the fried rice was better thanmost. The biggest thing to note is time. It took more time to get seated, took more time for the chef to come out and in totalwas about 2 hours overall. The cost is also on the higher side when it comes to Japanese hibachi restaurants and the fried ricedoes cost extra. Read more
Food was great except the flavor was kind of bland on the steak. The hibachi chef kept saying happy birthday although it was an... anniversary event and did the rice heart which was a nice gesture but wasn't all that exceptional for the price which is mostlyfor the entertainment. The food could be just as good if not better elsewhere for less and with more privacy for a specialnight. Probably won't go again but we will see. Read more
Lovely welcome by host. Sat at the bar had fresh sushi and a Benihana punch. If your not a drinker drinker this is a nice drink!... The bartender was welcoming, courteous and attenative. Read more
Benehanna isn't woth the extra cost! First trip to Benihana no reason to come back???? Seated quickly, order taken and then,... snail mode. Two hibachi in the restaurant cooking. A group of three and myself waited over an hour for the chef to show up on aless than busy Tuesday night. Chef had to go back to kitchen two times to get more food to cook. Drinks ran dry for the tablethree times and had to ask front staff for refills. I will go to my local hibachi and make sure I let my friends know this placeis not worth it.
