Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had. Made a reservation for the Thanksgiving dinner for 7 guests at 7:45pm weeks in... advance. We were seated fairly quickly then waited 20 minutes to be seen by a waiter who just showed up to let us know theywere out of the Thanksgiving special. Did not offer to get drinks etc. just took our menus and left. By now it was evident bythe whispers that everyone around us was having a terrible experienceas well. We finally received drinks at 9:00pm and had tobeg for bread and appetizers that we received around 9:30pm. We ended up ordering steaks which came out at 10:00 and were coldand over cooked. The manager finally came around and offered 50% off our meal which wasn’t enough for the inconvenience andthe ruined thanksgiving evening. I won’t blame the servers because they did what they could but the management was asabsolutely atrocious. So in conclusion we were there for 3 hours for cold food, poor service, and filthy restrooms. I will saywe visit this location 3-5 times a year and this is the first issue we’ve had, but definitely could have been handled better. Read more

Sub par experience at Eddie Merlot's for Thanksgiving dinner. First, the good: Cocktails were awesome. The atmosphere is... amazing. Great location, courteous front of the house staff (valet, host, etc). The not so good: We reserved a table for theirthree course Thanksgiving dinner. Although seated promptly, it was clear that the location was severely understaffed for theevening. 15 minutes passed before engagement with a server (not his fault, he was running 7 tables he later told us). Experiencewent downhill from there. Multiple items on the menu unavailable-- including the Thanksgiving meal we had made reservations for.Soup and entrees were cold. Proteins were overcooked (not to order). Zero engagement from management. From seating to signingthe check, we were there for 2.5 hours (mostly spent waiting on service, entrees, etc). More issues, but I won't belabor thereview. Take away: My guess is that the staffing issues were to blame, and I can understand that, especially for a holiday meallike this. We may try the restaurant again-- it does seem like a fine steakhouse and seafood bar. And, again, the cocktails weregreat. It was just a shame that the evening was kind of a bust, especially at this price point. Ultimately, I recommend to givethis place the benefit of the doubt and to give it a shot-- but perhaps not during a peak / rush time. They don't appearequipped to handle that. Read more

Celebrating our anniversary at Eddie Merlot's. It has been several years since we have been here. Very nice to see that the... service is still top notch. Started off with a glass of champagne, followed with 2 Maryland crab cakes on a bed of corn relish, that we shared. These were delicious! Entrees ordered were the New Orleans mixed grill. Consisted of a 4oz filet, blackenedshrimp, sausage with garlic mashed potatoes. I added a chopped salad with the house vinaigrette. My husband ordered the wayguribeye. Added mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese. All side dishes are ala carte and large enough to share. My filet was so tender, itwas like it melted in my mouth! Cooked perfectly. Probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. Plus it was the perfect sizeto have along with the shrimp and sausage. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. My husband thoroughly enjoyedhis waygu experience. Sorry I don't have a picture of it. We were served a creme brulee in honor of our anniversary. I've neverbeen a fan of this dessert, but we were pleasantly surprised how good this was. Added a coffee with Bailey's to have withdessert. We both look forward to returning and possibly trying the bison. Read more

What a treat! We celebrated our 39th anniversary. I noted this when I made the reservation, and everyone that came by wished us... a happy anniversary. There was also a card on our table that was signed by everyone. We had the greatest server, Kyle. Everymove he made was on point, from suggesting menu items to bring out everything we needed. We started with the appetizer of potstickers. They're stuffed with filet mignon, and the sauce is lightly sweet and tasty. The dumplings are moist and dense. Caesarsalad comes with anchovies optional. I haven't seen that option in a while, and they were great: richly salty with a touch ofbitterness. It complemented the delicate dressing quite well. The steaks were impeccable. Perfectly seared at the righttemperature. The peppercorn sauce had the right amount of spice. Wild mushrooms and sweet potato casserole were served familystyle. The potatoes were sweet and creamy, the mushrooms were flavorful. A creme brulee was served to honor our anniversary. Itwas on the house. It was smooth and silky, with a crunchy seared sugar crust, garnished with raspberries and a sprig ofmint. Coffee was served in a press, not my favorite way to imbibe, but it came with cream, whipped cream, and a bit ofchocolate. Quite classy. The ambience is elegant, but people came and went in surprisingly casual dress. All the servers werefriendly and attentive. This is a culinary experience you don't want to miss. No mistakes or missteps were made in this perfectnight out. Read more

The wait staff was excellent. The soups were fabulous! The bananas foster was fun and something you don't always see. The steaks... were good, but nothing we haven't had elsewhere. Read more

We have been trying out some new restaurants during restaurant week. Eddie's was the second steakhouse we have tried this week.... I have to say Eddie's is far superior to Morton's Steakhouse downtown. The restaurant week meals offered are similar as far asselection goes. We did get the Truffle Fries as an app. They are good, I'd suggest you ask for some garlic aioli to go with. Thefood at Eddie's is all made in house and it shows. We had the salmon and the filet. Both were excellent. The mash potatoes andgreen beans are great. Salad in on par, and both the ranch and blue cheese are obviously made there. The chocolate cake andcarrot cake were also good. So, if you have to choose between Morton's and Eddie Merlot's. Eddie's it is. Read more

Let me say this place is Beautiful, our server was AWESOME! We were out celebrating our wedding anniversary of 17 yrs with some... family and close friends. The low star came because of the steaks ugh.. ! Out of the 4 differnt steaks ordered only one wasseasoned well and prepared right. My husband steak was supposed to be med well but was tough and not seasoned well, anothersteak was over cooked, & another undercooked. This was everyone first experience and there were 12 of us! We were the firstgroup to arrive at 4pm so the restaurant wasn't crowded. We expected better steaks for the upscale place with the upscaleprices. The differnt salmons, burgers, crabcakes, and all other food was delicious. The management was very apologetic andoffered free desserts and tried to get the steaks prepared right. We said that we would try this place again, because theservice was awesome! Read more
