Eating outside can be wonderful. El Rancho Grande patio was very noisy due to traffic. Friends wanted to eat outside because... they were "afraid of getting Covid." I personally was very cold and did not enjoy eating outside but could not interest theothers in moving inside. We were not dressed for the stiff breeze that day. Excellent food and service. They even accommodated our food allergy with no issues at all. Do yourself a favor and order the... house made hot salsa when they bring out your chips. It's some of the best homemade authentic hot salsa we've had! Read more

Went to Kenwood El Rancho Grande as a central location for a group celebrating my grandson's birthday. I called ahead requesting... a reservation for our group, but was told they don't take reservations. When I arrived, someone else in our party had alreadygotten a table for us and they were seated at the very back of the restaurant in an alcove. This would have been okay, exceptthe waiter was not very attentive, and we had to ask for refills and even the dinner of the birthday boy, which did not come outwith the rest of the food. The room was hot and not well ventilated, so very uncomfortable. While everything about therestaurant was pretty, the prices for food were inflated, and the portions smaller than past visits and comparable restaurants.The presentation was nice, but all in all, not the best value for our money. I used a coupon for $6 off, and was not given areceipt for our meals, so i couldn't refer back for change and tip calculation. Found this annoying. Read more

Excellent Tex-Mex restaurant. This place has a very nice patio. It's a tad noisy by the busy street but offers a great outdoor... atmosphere. The bar looks super nice and the main restuarant is nicely decorated. The important part...the food and it's verytasty and prepared at a high level. I only had lunch so I wasn't able to try a variety on the menu. I did have the chickenburrito with beef taco and black beans ( a nice alternative to refried). The staff are very friendly and service was fast. Irecommend a visit. I hope to be back one day. Read more

The food and service are always excellent here. I give 4 stars because the one complaint I have is that the tortilla chips taste... store bought. It's super easy and more cost effective to fry up the corn tortillas that you are already buying and it provides amuch better product. The dish featured is called La Cazuela.
