Good service and great ambiance. We had the Bruscetta sampler - the goat cheese topped one was amazing! The Caesar salad is a... solid pick - the dressing was just right. The food at Forno Osteria + bar is very good. The red sauce is full of flavor and I recommend spaghettini Arraabbita. The... environment of metro industrial and a bit loud for those with hearing loss. I gave them a 4 stars because they were very slowand charging $6 for bread at a $$$$ restaurant is a bit insulting. Quaint place. You do feel like you are sitting at someone else's table because so close. Octopus was tasty. The veal was a... bit over cooked. The cod was tasty but small. Cauliflower au gratin is worth it. Overall I'd like to give it a 3.5 but thereisn't that one. Read more
Just moved to the neighborhood, wanted to thank the old man for helping me move all day by treating him to dinner. We had such a... great experience that we’ve decided to make this our new dinner spot. Food was excellent, the establishment was very clean,and the service was excellent as well. We had the best time here! Located in a great area with lots of things to do. Had no reservation and only a maybe 20 minute... wait. We went for a walk in the nice neighborhood close by while we waited. There was also a pub, a Mediterranean Cafe and Thairestaurant next door. Forno has Indoor and outdoor seating available. Wonderful atmosphere all around. I was very happy with myview of the brick pizza oven! The host was great and called me as soon as there was an open table. Our server was perfect, veryattentive. I had a margarita and diet coke(: For an appetizer we picked the goat cheese and chestnut honey bruschetta, amazing.We ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and it was to die for! A real must have. Solid spot in Hyde Park. The octopus and fingerling potatoes slapped. Place has a cool feel on the inside, and I would... definitely recommend as a top notch Italian eatery. The pizza is really good quality and has great dough. I liked the gnocchi,but not my favorite in town. The risotto was also fire. Really cannot go wrong here. Great food, environment, and the staff arereally nice. You can sit at the bar too and watch the back of house do their thing, which is always cool. I would eat thatoctopus and potatoes like 5x over. It was sooooo tasty and the prices here are very fair. Read more
Absolutely delicious. Service front to end was outstanding, and the food was the same. We got Bolognese, and a truffle/arugula... pizza, each one was one of the best versions of the dish that we have ever eaten. Cannot recommend this place enough! Read more
Our Waitress Alexis was excellent (& I think quite amused by our table). Our reservation was at 8 but the table wasn't quite... ready yet due to the restaurant being busy (for good reason, the food is excellent!). But because it took them extra time to getour table ready they brought us out some complimentary appetizers of veal meatballs and a goat cheese & honey bread (which Ihave to say was amazing but I'm also a very big fan of goat cheese). 100% would recommend and we definitely plan on bring mypartners Italian grandma here very soon!
