The Kabuto Japanese Steakhouse provides a rather unique experience in the Cincinnati area. The "show" of food preparation is fun... and the family enjoyed it, especially the younger kids. We had a party of 16 people and they were able to sit our entire partyat one cooking station. The interior of the restaurant isn't fancy or even the slightest bit upscale. There was a strong mustysmell in the air and the floors (carpet in the dining area and tile in the restroom) were surprisingly sticky. However, thestaff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty but a bit expensive. For a family of five we spent about $28 per person,including dinner, dessert, and tip. I came here to celebrate my sister?s remission. The waiter was patient and did a great job. It took them a long time to get us... seated but we were a big party. I had the strawberry margarita, which I loved. I also had the steak and scallops hibachi. Thesalad that came with it was delicious. The soup wasn?t my favorite. The fried rice, vegetables, and scallops were great.However, the steak and the two pieces of shrimp that came with it didn?t taste right. The morning after eating the food I feltsick. So after my hubby?s hectic schedule we finally went outside for our Late Valentines date and decided to go to Kabuto. It was... friday night so my husband told me to make a reservation and I try to called them at first I talked to a Japanese guy and toldme to go anytime because it?s not busy. But I called again to make sure that we will have a sit around 6:30PM and the a girltake down my reservation and everything went well. Once we arrived there?s a line already and told the host that we have areservation for 3pax. We went to Hibachi area where the chef?s are cooking in front of you. We?re glad that we have areservation and choose the Hibachi area. We loved how the chef prepared the foods. It was so fantastics ! We like thechicken,shrimp and vegetables.
