The whole aesthetic of the restaurant was a vibe, definitely has a unique menu. The peaches, and grits with the pork dinner.... First thought odd! Surprisingly it was really tasteful. Took my girls for our one year anniversary. They gave us champagne for atoast on them. Are waitress was super friendly. But wouldn’t Recommend it to anyone else!! Read more
It isn't often that I truly can't decide on what I want for dinner because everything sounds so good. We started with the bread... service, which is grilled seasoned bread with marrow butter. We had the brussels sprout salad. I ordered the scallops, and thenwe shared 3 of the desserts, including a cheesecake made with goat cheese. My cocktail was amazing. It tasted like banana bread.I would definitely recommend for a special occasion or before a show! Read more
Personally I think it overpriced, I'm sure some people will go there and feel differently. The food was good, the service and... attention to detail and my needs as a customer I don't feel our needs were met to the best of the staff's ability. Excellent experience. Visiting for business, met some friends. Staff is approachable, knowledgeable, service is super. Food... is upscale and exceptional! Wine list Excellent! We loved our dinner here!!! Our red-headed server was absolutely the best Preparation & presentation was on point & what you... would expect from an upscale fine dining restaurant. The prices were reasonable. We had fried oysters, avocado salad and thestrip steak. Only the steak wasn't a 10. On the though side. But those mashed potatoes.....Smash. absolutely the best. I wantthat recipe so I can eat a whole plate full. We tried every dessert on the menu. The olive oil cake was the clear winner!!They give you macaroons if you are celebrating a birthday and they were outstanding. I think it was peanut butter & jelly. Omg.Took us over the top. Metropole is a chic restaurant situated at the base of the 21c Hotel and Museum. In all the the times I have eaten at Metropole,... I have never had a bad dish. They take food and flavors to another level while remaining unpretentious. I went for my 25thbirthday and had one of the most delicious dining experiences on my life...Seriously, I still dream about the dishes I ate thatnight. They change up the menu seasonally, so I highly recommend going back multiple times throughout the year to experienceall they have to offer. I go with friends and we all order different menu items to share because there are always too manyamazing eats to choose from. Also, shout-out to the burnt carrot salad because that dish is especially phenomenal. Who knows,you may also even make a new friend of the yellow penguin variety. Read more
Cannot recommend this place enough, every aspect of our dining experience was superb. Our server Jeremy, in addition to be very... attentive and personable, was an expert on the menu and recommended the duck. The dish was delightfully balanced, tastefullypresented, and I can't wait to enjoy it again! Dessert matched our delectable entree step for step: any diners with room afterthe main course should consider sampling their tarts which have a buttery, flaky crust and are excellent with a scoop of icecream. This place was a great find with a classy vibe, cozy seats, and high quality menu. Startingoff with the salads (brussels and... caesar), both were pretty good. They were lightly dressed, but the dressings were excellent; asking for a side of more was agreat idea. The salmon was perfectly cooked, with very crispy skin, sitting atop some flavorful beans. That plate was excellent.My plus one rarely gives a reaction while dining out and she was making all sorts of (good) gestures while eating the steak andpotatoes. I have no doubt that plate was amazing. Service was very good. We loved the whole experience at Metropole! I'lldefinitely be back and try some drinks/desserts next time that also looked very good.
