Really wonderful kitchen. Everything is nicely portioned to be shared by 2 people. Shout out to the fried smelts, tempura... broccolini. Great little salads to go with stuff. Mid City is beautiful and the attention to design detail is immaculate. I loved the ambiance. The beverage menu was approachable... and the dinner menu was super fun. My friend and I shared several different dishes and enjoyed all of them - our favorites werethe shrimp skewers and the tempura veggie of the day. Service was wonderful. Can't recommend enough! We visited on a Wednesday evening. The interior was cozy and not crowded, with an intimate atmosphere. We ordered drinks and a... couple of small dishes, which were served very quickly. All in all, the food was delicious and not too heavy. I will be back totry their other offerings. Read more
I should have suspected that when the owner of my favorite bar (Longfellow) opened up a restaurant, it would de facto become one... of my favorite restaurants. Everything is done perfectly here, from the curation of the menu, to the combination of flavor noteseach dish managed to hit. We celebrated a friend's birthday at Mid City and we had the best time! We decided to try several different plates and shared... everything around the table. You cannot go wrong, everything was delicious. The service was fantastic as well! Everyone thatworks there is incredibly kind (so much so that we asked for the paint color on one of the walls and we got the specific brand &formula!!). I highly recommend checking it out!
