I like to experiment with restaurants and pubs with a good menu. I happened to be on this side of town do to a meeting and I ... thought I would try something different. I walked into the place and sat down. The first thing I saw was dusty chairs withcotton coming out of them. The service was not good. Our server was nice but spent most of her time with the bar regulars whowere having a good time. The order was placed quickly after sitting down, but it took over 40 minutes without there being muchbusiness. The server didn't budge more than two feet to check on the order to see if it was done. She was more engaged inpouring shots for the bar regulars then paying attention to the order.I felt like I was on an episode of bar rescue. The orderfinally came, and I was missing onion rings and not fries from my order. My other family member ordered fish and chips and gotthe fish sandwich instead. Luckily my meal that was a barbeque burger, onion rings when they came , and southwest egg rollswere all excellant when they finally came to the table. This was the only saving grace for the whole experience. Read more

Pretty small and cramped place. Accidently went during a football game so the entire place was super loud and difficult to get... service. Despite that, the place was pretty cheap and chill. They had amazing fish tacos, I would come back, but only for that. Read more

MLT used to be fantastic, would of considered it one of the best food places in the city. Recently though my last few times I?ve... went there, I?ve tried many different menu items due to being very unsatisfied with the food each time. I?ve given it manychances but this was my last try with MLT. What once was a recommendation is now a warning. The food just feels so careless asof recently, sloppy and just not good? hate to see it go so downhill so fast. Maybe refresh the kitchen staff or put more focuson the food that I know they once had Read more

I attended trivia night there with a few friends. It's a cozy venue with a bar and several televisions for a watching sports. I... tried the Mt. Lookout burger which I thought was very delicious. I ended up parking in the Mt. Lookout square but there's plentyof street parking. Overall, I would visit this establishment again. Read more

LOVE this place! Great atmosphere, fantastic service. I live close and regularly stop in for lunch. Sadly, I haven't made their... Trivia Night on Mondays in a while- but if you have the chance, its so fun. Local comedian Steve Caminiti hosts and will haveyou laughing from start to finish! Always a blast! Read more

I have a lot of memories of Mt. Lookout Tavern from college, but none of them are centered around a dining experience. Back then... it didn't seem like a good place to grab a bite, but the reinvented MLT has surprised me by offering really good bar food. Theinside has changed a lot since those college days. There are more tables that I remember, though it does seem like the tablescan now be moved out of the way for the late night bar scene. The bathrooms could use some work though, as those don't seem tobe have been updated yet. For lunch I went with the Chicken Philly with sauteed banana peppers, onions, and mushrooms toppedwith melted provolone and mayo on a hoagie roll ($9.49). I was really surprised by the good quality of this sandwich, and it wasvery filling. I also had added a side of freshly prepared onion rings for $3. There is no kids menu to speak of, but our littleones were happy ordering from the appetizer menu. Two of their favorite items are at the top of the list, hot pretzel bites withMLT bier cheese ($6.49) and mini corn dogs with honey mustard ($5.99). Both were large servings and the kids had nocomplaints. My wife ordered a build your own quesadilla ($5.49 to start, veggie fillings $.50 each, meat $1.99 each). Nothingout of the ordinary here, but again another solid option for a decent price. On another visit I thoroughly enjoyed the buffalochicken wrap ($8.99) and the loaded nachos that were enough for an entire family ($7.99, $2 to add chicken). MLT has been addedto our neighborhood rotation of restaurants for a solid lunch or dinner. Read more
