My wife was aware that I always wanted to try Ruth’s Kris steak house. So as a birthday surprise she took me there. We was... seated at 6:34pm and the waitress Courtney was very nice and sprinkled the table with birthday confetti that was fun. Afterlooking over the menu we ordered at 7:00pm. We waited, and the waitress came over and said they have a banquet upstairs that hasput our order behind, as soon as they get them taken care of our order will go in and it shouldn’t be much longer. At thispoint I wanted to leave but my wife said no let’s see if the food is worth the wait. Okay at 8:40pm the food arrived and itwas very disappointing. The steak had no flavor and the garlic mashed potatoes didn’t have any garlic, very bland. The managercame over and said he was sorry for the delay and it takes time to cook a steak, he also mentioned that one of his chef didn’tmake it in and they had two banquets upstairs plus the dining room. He said he would take some off the bill. I guess that helpsa little with the disappointment but I was expecting a Great Birthday Experience. The bill still was over $200.00 for somethingI could’ve had better at O’Charleys for less and a better steak and experience. I had my 17th birthday here today! The two young men in the front looked absolutely fabulous- I mean we’re talking drop dead... gorgeous. I ordered the $57 meal deal and it came with the Caesar salad, 11 oz filet with a lobster tail and the desert. One of the best steaks we have had! Everything about our experience here was wonderful. We were seated promptly at our... reservation time and quickly approached by our server who was very friendly. We both went with the Ruth's classic which is a 3course meal starting at $57. It is a phenomenal deal! I started with a Cesar salad, then a 6oz filet with shrimp and mashedpotatoes, ending with bread pudding for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly and I couldcut it with just a fork. Only downfall is parking- it is in the downtown area so you must pay to park and will likely have towalk a bit. Read more

We had a reservation at 6:45 we were seated promptly by two gentleman hosts that were nice. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean.... Our server Pete was nice but very slow and it took over a half hour to get our food and the salad was served with the steak andall the side portions everyone ordered including salad were way to big! You should definitely share anything you order here andexpect to wait. The bread was delicious on a positive note and my husband steak was cooked perfectly as well as the birthdaytreat was appreciated. Maybe try to speed up timing a little or try a few half size portion options for those that want to eat asmaller amount. I came to Ruth Chris to celebrate a special anniversary for me with my niece. My experience with Ruth Chris was absolutely... beautiful. The host and hostess when I 1st walked in the door were friendly welcoming, kind and beautiful. My server David was Knowledgeable about the special and what was in the menu. He made sure every question had an answer and he was attentive toour needs. Lastly, the food was so delicious. It was brought out in a timely manner it was hot tasteful and just absolutelydelightful. Spent my birthday here with my man and a few friends. The atmosphere was beautiful but fyi there is kind of a dress code (if you... want to dine in with a ball cap on you have to sit on the lower level or take your hat off to go upstairs NO BIGGIE), ourservers deserve 10 stars for their hospitality, the food was delicious I ordered lamb chops with sweet potato casserole.. Myreasoning for 3 stars is because of the EXPENSIVE PRICE!!! Just for two our bill was $194 don’t get me wrong the food andservice was wonderful but come on with that price! We spent our anniversary at this New Orleans based restaurant. The wait staff was outstanding! I wish I could say the same for... the food. The presentation was wonderful but I found myself reaching for the salt shaker too many times. From the apetizers tothe entree of sea bass (served in a plate of sizzling butter) to the petite filet..both my husband and I felt that the meal wasINCREDIBLY expensive for very little flavor. Again, the hostess, our waitress ( I think she was new), and other servers, werevery hospitable. In all fairness, we did not tell our waitress about our displeasure because we ordered a lot of food and wekept thinking that the next dish would be better. We came here for our one year wedding anniversary and the food and service were great! Only one real complaint: the bathrooms.... The woman's was basically out of toilet paper and no paper towels or dryer, there was also garbage on the floor. My husband saidthe men's was broken as well. Overall though, a nice place to get a good steak. Also I highly recommend the BBQ Shrimp, thesauce is to die for. Read more
