What a find! Hammering back from the Northeast it was time for lunch and a sit down in something other than a car... seat. Cincinnati was coming up so we started the online search flipping through reviews and stars, The Eagle popped up andlooked like it was worth a try. Apparently chicken is there specialty, wasn't sure if I was in the mood for that but why not asthe sides looked worth the stop. Nice little modern downtown place, hopping for sure. Small but plenty of tables and a nice bar, people buzzing around coming and going with the wait staff slinging plates all around. Downside...the acoustics in this placeare awful, I may be getting old but I felt myself raising my voice to hold a conversation (like everyone else I suppose). Thedownside of a popular spot. The food? Where do I start... Menu had so many good choices it was hard to decide what to try, especially watching all the dishes flying out of the kitchen. I don't think we have ever had a hat trick of plates whereeverything was a 10. We did the BLT chicken sandwich - excellent, grilled cheese (not just any grilled cheese, this thing hasseveral cheeses and granny smith apples on grilled sour dough good grief) - excellent, white chedder grits (spicy) - excellent, and spoon bread which is a sweet cornbread with maple butter- excellent! Food a must try and warrants a stop. Read more

We may have been over hyped by friends saying The Eagle is a must when visiting and known for "the best fried chicken."... Everything was very, very good but neither I, nor my friend, thought it was exceptional. The chicken was cooked to perfectionbut there was nothing remarkable about the coating. Neither of us found the spicy honey to be spicey. The only thing trulyunique was the candied bacon. It was a taste and texture that grew on us but it was too sweet to eat more than a strip. Irecommend you try it. It's a unique foodie experience. The vibe was great, the people friendly and the the layout wasinteresting. It was very loud and filled with energy. If you are looking for a delicious meal that won't disappoint, Irecommend The Eagle. But, if you are looking for unique, foodie, exceptional, pop in for a drink and candied bacon. Read more

The food was amazing. I recommend any and everybody to visit the Eagle rather you driving through or staying a couple of nights.... The service was great as well. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The honey mixed with hot sauce to put on thechicken was delicious. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Read more

Very tasty! I got the chicken B.L.T, Collards, Cheddar Grits, and Hush Puppies. The only item I wasn’t a fan of was the... Greens. I was hoping for a salty and savory taste with some spice. They had a sour taste to them. I’m picky when it comes tomy Greens. I can look past all that as the rest was great! Will be looking to dine in soon!! Read more
