So we were doing a road trip and decided to stop in Cincinnati for a night (August 1, 2022) since we've never outside of passing... through. We found The Phelps and thought it would be cool to stay there because of its antique architecture look on the outside.Once we walk in we were met with a very pleasant aroma in the air followed by a greeting from the front desk manager whoassisted us with checking in. She and the Valet gave us some ideas on fun activities and bars in the immediate area of downtown,even walked us outside to give precise directions :). We then went to our suite which was amazing. It looked like a niceapartment. After a night of fun with the suggestions we received we got up for breakfast. We came down and we greeted by thefront desk manager again as well as the Valet. We were told about the grits and how good they were. I got excited because i lovegrits and most hotels I've traveled to don't even serve them. I walked over to see all of the breakfast options and to mysurprise they had fresh eggs, grits, vegan patties, chicken patties, and a host of other healthy options. Safe to say that outof the hundreds of hotels ive been to in the last 15 years that by far, hands down was the best breakfast I've ever eaten.Everyone was delightful that we encountered. We had our family reunion in Cincinnati over the weekend a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at The Phelps. It's a great spot being... right across the river from Newport and within walking distance of Great America Ballpark. We reserved the first level of Top ofthe Park for a family dinner, at night it is a beautiful sight as you can see. When it's open for everyone it's great as well.It's something you should experience when you're visiting Cincinnati. You sing have to stay at the hotel to go to the bareither, check out our whenever you can. Read more
What a view! This place had it all...the food was delicious (I had the Chicken Sliders and my friend a Flat Bread Pizza and... there were no complaints from either of us!) We imbibed in some pretty unique adult beverages and the service was outstanding. Did I mention the view?! Breathtaking! Read more
This place was pretty great. The view was amazing and was the perfect spot for a first time city visitor. A small sangria and a... can of IPA was nearly $20, so it's definitely a one drink kind of place. We also had to wait to go up due to the capacitylimits but fortunately it had just rained so not for long. I would go back, but if I were a local on a budget, it probablywouldn't be my spot at all. The view is suuuuuuuuper nice! But their drinks not so much and the restaurant on the 1st level only have finger foods. If you... are planning on eating, go somewhere else before coming here. It gets packed starting 9pm so arrive early if you want a roof topview. For the quality of drinks and foods you get I feel that you're really paying for the view! Hip and happening place to be. Great food. Fabulous service. We loved the cosmos made with juice, fresh. Handicap accessible... ramp to left after you get off the elevator. Easy access for all. Upscale rooftop bar located in a beautiful hotel. This is our favorite rooftop bar to go to in Cincinnati. The bartenders are... also top-notch and can really make anything you want. This is a must go-to bar in Cincinnati for any traveler or local! Read more
