Troppo salato - which is rare for me to say. We started off our meal with the Veal ricotta meatballs, which I was so excited to... try. This was my daughters first “fine”dining experience, and I wanted to start out with something familiar but different.Sadly, expectations were not met. The sauce was creamy, and rich with only one flavor and that was salt. I went searching foranything else to please my palate but the only thing that could, was my water. With some reservation we moved on to our maindishes. My daughter had the Tagliatelle Bolognese and I had the Homemade Crispy gnocchi, again we were both so excited. There isnothing better than fresh made pastas. Unfortunately, the let down continued. The only positive I would give the dish, is theycooked the pasta perfectly. The plating was also beautiful as well. I’m not sure if there was a heavy hand salting the foodthat night or not but the only flavors I could get out of either dish. Was salt. For the price of each meal I would expectbetter, if I wanted over salted sauce- I would have just cracked open a can of chef boyardee, because I’d expect nothing lessfrom a 1.99 can of “Pasta”. I want to make excuses for it, because they were busy- it was very obvious. But when you arespecifically going to a place for their Italian food and paying 20 plus per plate- overly salted food is not what you areexpecting. I’m sure I could have said something, but our server was too busy paying attention to her other tables, andsocializing with the kitchen staff. By the time dessert rolled around, I was almost terrified to order. But you certainlycan’t over salt a dessert? Thankfully not, the via-misu was probably the saving grace of the whole experience. Although the 15minute wait time for it felt a bit long, considering our other dishes came out so fast, this take on a classic was perfectlybalanced and an absolute delight for my palate that had just been taken on a journey through the salt mines. In all honesty, Iwould Read more

We were able to get a table right away without a reservation. Unfortunately we had to sit up stairs and did not get a good view... as it was chilly out. However, the bolognese was amazing and the brussels sprouts were the perfect side. Our waitress was greatand made sure we got out in time for our event. Read more

A beautiful experience, excellent food, and excellent service. Food tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection. The only small... complaint was that service was a little slow. They did have a full house, so that is to be expected: so nothing major. Ourserver, Caleb was very friendly and helpful. Read more

We were going to the Taft that evening for a show on August 13th and arrived early enough for dinner our server was Caleb he was... very knowledgeable of all the menue item's he is a very nice person and a great server. We started with the Charred octopus itwas amazing, then I had the Lamb shank with white polenta, and Chuck had the Lumache alla Vodka sauce served with italiansausage. Ended the meal with cappuccino and dessert which was Dark chocolate crème brÛLÉe and a type of a rice pudding madewith risotto. Our overall experience could not have been better. A must go you won't be disappointed. ???????? Read more

This place has some of the best view in downtown. The service was a little slow because they were extremely busy but the drinks... and food was very nice. We ordered the goat cheese + honey app and it was amazing. I do think their pasta quantity can be muchmore improved. So plan accordingly. If you sit on the lower patio, by the south side you can watch the concert for free at thefountain square with premium seats! Read more

Great tasting food. Huge appetizer portions. Soup is perfectly warm and tasty. The salmon is just cooked well and beautifully... decorated. Entrees are a little bit more expensive but worth it! The restaurant is conveniently located at the Fountain Square,Downtown Cincy. Inside decor is very elegant. We got here at 10pm on a Saturday. Just glad it was open coz all others arealready closed early. I would recommend to others and i will definitely be back! Read more
