Saw this place thanks to a road detour. Stopped in for lunch after doing a computer service call. Saw the reviews online &... decided what the heck I'll give it a try. I prefer these kinds of places to chains. Had the Open Faced Roast Beef, somethingthat's hard to find. Was good with a decent amount of roast beef, gravy and mashed potatoes. Had the Cole Slaw as a second side.Then had a slice of Coconut Cream Pie. Brought back lots of memories from my younger days. I'm in my mid 60s. Overall I wouldsay it was pretty much what I expected. Biggest complaint would be the general malaise of the staff. Although relativelyfriendly nobody smiled and seemed pretty much to just go through the motions. Good food and clean restaurant. Read more
Party of five. Everything was delicious. Service was attentive from the moment we walked in the door. Coffee was good. My... favorite thing was the toast was actually buttered all the way to the edge! Would come again when in the area and highlyrecommend. Read more
Husband was not happy with his order of open faced turkey sandwich with gravy over all of it, we call it a short order. He said... it didn't have much taste. I ate spaghetti. Our friend had a hamburger. Husband said he won't be going back there to eat. Ourfriend and I probably will. Our order was around $42. He was also upset because he had to wait on refills. Read more

This is a in-town family restaurant where the regulars come and the waitresses know their orders before they sit down. You'll... get your fill of Americana food, as the broasted chicken is what they are known for, but I came in the wrong day to try it. The rest of the food fare is average canned food, it's done well but obvious. The price is worth the stop. Read more
We had bfast. The bacon was delicious. Nice and crisp. Ham wasnt dry. I had potato cubes which were good and my friend had the... shredded potato and said it tasted like a mashed baked potato.
