Great place for drinks loved the club like vibe with some awesome music. Unfortunately my rating would be better if my Birria... tacos weren?t so fatty. I love Birria but when you get two huge chunks of fatty membrane meat in both tacos it kinds of gross uout. After that I had two break them apart with a fork and knife to avoid being surprised again. Margarita Mondays!! We got a pitcher of Cucumber maragarita. It was very refreshing but you can hardly taste the alcohol, could... be a bit stronger. My friend and I finished 1 pitcher, which was about 4 glasses each and we didn't even get buzzed. We onlydrink occasionally, so it's not like we are alcoholics with a high tolerance. The service was pretty good, very attentive,except the waiter told us the pitcher was $30 and then tried to charge us $45. He had a little attitude when I told him about ittoo. Not very nice but he did fix it. Make sure you check your charges before paying. The food was exceptionally delicious. Thatwas the best part. I had enchiladas and my friend had Birria tacos. Went to celebrate the Hubby's Bday. Been there before. I like the ambiance but my only complaint is the food. It's lacking... "sasson" . Food is bland and flavorless. When it comes to the liquor drinks ,they do know how to serve the drinks, presentation.They are good and creative for sure! It's not cheap! The place gets packed and starts feeling hot and muggy! Crack the a/c on !Just my 2 cents ! Been here twice, first time around was not that great either but thought about giving it a second try. It'sok. First time here! We thought there is supposed to be a band ???? We chose Fleight at first. One red cup is nasty like water, we... couldn?t tell the flavor of it. The other three basically are fine. Loud music inside. Food is overpriced. Overall it is a niceplace to chill. Read more
Tried this place visiting california for my birthday and it was very good! Reccomend the taquitos appetizer definitely, comes... with a spicy green sauce. Drinks were great I had the paloma negra with activated black charcoal, maybe could have added anothershot of tequila to it but overall good. First time coming to Kalaveras, I really like the theme. Sort of a day of the dead.They had a really pretty rose wall as well as... alot of tables on the inside. There was no wait when we arrived and were seated immediately. We arrived around 10pm on asaturday. Our server was very nice and seemed to know the menu very well, as well as being patient with our questions and givingsuggestions. The atmosphere is pretty loud, alot of people drinking and singing along to music being played so if you'reexpecting to have a quiet romantic dinner this wouldn't be the place . We ordered the mango Chile margarita and the cucumber oneas well. For food I ordered aguachiles which came with tostadas and the pasta a la diabla. The food was subpar not all thatamazing.
