Really great old school diner. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a soft spot for these old '60s, '70s vintage... places, that are still clean and run well. Great view! Right on the beach of the Strait of Juan De Fuca. If you like straightup. BLTs eggs, toast, bacon etc... This is a wonderful old school diner. Highly recommended. Read more

What else can be better then Diner food with views of the water. I had the chicken fried steak with clam chowder and it was... delicious ???? Will definitely be a return customer ?????? The kids were getting hangry so we randomly stopped by on our way home to get chicken strips and a plain cheeseburger to go.... Kids enjoyed the food and especially the fries. Very friendly staff, and very neat atmosphere. Check ?em out! Read more
A hidden gem of a restaurant!! Super fresh salad bar veggies with all the best toppings, and the Breakwater sandwich was to die... for! The au jus was perfectly seasoned, and the fries were super crisp and fluffy. Quick service, too! Do yourself a favor andstop in when you get a chance. You won't be sorry! Read more
Lisa's service was PERFECT ! ! ! ! ! I arrived hot, tired, hungry and very thirsty, from a long bike ride. Lisa allowed me to... sit at any table. I chose a comfortable booth for myself, alone. She must have sensed that I was really thirsty, because Ididn't even have to asked for water, but she immediately brought ice water in a small "chilled" fruit jar to my table andquickly returned with a large carafe of ice water, too. The water tasted like well water with some minerals in it, but that'sjust pretty much how all diners are. My food arrived quickly, Hot, Fresh & Tasty. I devoured it ! I drank some water, and filledmy water bottle with the rest of the ice water from the carafe. I took it on the road with me, which saved me from having tomake an extra stop while traveling. When I arrived at the Breakwater, I was hot and tired, but the restaurant was airconditioned and the booth was really comfortable to relax in. I was also really thirsty and hungry, but ice water arrived at mytable in an instant, and then a large hot plate of food arrived shortly after that. This was a very satisfying stop ! Read more

We love this place. Although the acoustics are a bit blaring at times, the view, efficiency of the staff & quality of their... food, keeps us eagerly going back, for more. I love the Salad bar! They keep it tidy & well stocked. The house dressing isamazing. Highly recommend the Breakwater for great overall dining, experience. Read more
