The rooms were nice but nothing fancy.. Several of us called ahead to check on check in time because we needed to change for a... wedding. Then when we arrived many of us in our large group had to wait up to 2 hours (5 o?clock) to check in. The rooms didn?thave coffee pots or ice buckets or even cups for a drink of water . In the morning there was a coffee pot in the center with nocups & a sm pitcher of warm milk that looked like it had been there all night. For the price of the rooms I feel there shouldhave been some little extras. Also a several guests were NOT given their gift bags from the bride & groom when checking in.Disappointed! Read more
Stopped for lunch while we charged at the supercharger on-site. The hot sandwiches were terrific! Meatloaf was thick and tasty.... Turkey was moist and plentiful. Both served over bread with real mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. Service was prompt andpleasant. Prices very reasonable. $12 for the hot sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy. Read more
I have to say, I've never seen a staff work so hard to make your stay nice! From Dean bussing tables to the incredible bar room... staff. Rooms are a little outdated but clean. The food was excellent. My friend had the biggest best fried shrimp we've seen ina while. My Fish and Chips were great. Great Irish ambiance in the bar. Who has Harp on Tap? The Doherty! Read more
This was our first time staying at Hotel Doherty. The rooms were extremely clean! A tad outdated, but clean and the beds very... comfortable! The dining was amazing and the service was nothing less than outstanding! There are tons of places to sit insideand outside to enjoy the evening and it is centered in the Clare Downtown area! The history behind this facility is veryinteresting! We loved learning about it and talking with some of the staff. We will be visiting again! Read more
Although I did not stay overnight at the Dougherty hotel, my daughter treated me to dinner on July 3rd in the evening. We had an... excellent server! I ordered a full slab of spare rib dinner and was very disappointed and should have sent it back, but I endedup having them boxed up and I brought home (3 hours away) for my husband to eat. The ribs were not baby back ribs like I hadpresumed they would be; they were tough and they were stringy, so I ate the French fries and the side salad and that was my mealalong with an appetizer. I was very disappointed and the price of the rib dinner was $30. I hope they get some better ribs onstock . Read more
My favorite place to gather with family. They have Awesome food and the best bar! We had a great party for my parents 70th... birthday and they made it so easy to plan.
