A friend & I were heading home after spending a few hours in LA checking out the new 6th St bridge. We were hungry so we exited... on Indian Hill from 10fwy. When we entered the restaurant we were told it would be 15min wait to be seated. Once seated, the guywho placed napkins & cutlery asked if we'd like something to drink. The same guy brought me a Strawberry Lemonade & my friend anIced Tea w/Lemon. Our waitress, who was nice & had high energy asked if we were ready to order, but we needed more time. Shealso told us the 2 soups for the day. A few minutes later, she returned. I ordered my meal by getting it kind of a la cartebecause the full meals had items I knew I wouldn't eat. I didn't want to waste food. I ordered a Stack of Hot Cakes which is 3Pancakes for $6.99, I added Strawberry Topping w/Whipped Cream for $2.59 & added 2 sides which were 2 Eggs & 4 Strips of Baconfor $2.99 each side. My friend ordered Fish & Chips, but instead of French Fries she wanted a Baked Potato. Her meal includedsoup & salad. She asked for the Cream of Chicken Noodle, but found out they were out when the waitress returned w/the ChickenGumbo instead. It was my friend's 1st time trying the Chicken Gumbo, & she liked it. When my friend was served her food thewaitress asked if she wanted Vinegar for her fish, & then zipped off to get it. My friend looked @ me & asked "What is thevinegar used for? Have u ever heard of that?" I smiled. "It's Malt Vinegar. People use it on their fish instead of lemon so theyget that tartness." My friend tried it & liked it. Great place to eat! I wasn't sure what kind of food I was in the mood for today, but, Norms has such a wide variety it could... please most any palate. I ended up with breakfast for dinner. They cooked everything just as I asked and the price is reallyreasonable. The lemonade! I tried the cotton candy lemonade and it was really delicious. Sweet with a tiny hint of sour. Thewaitress recommended the pomegranate lemonade next and it was just what I enjoy in a lemonade. Loved the sweet and sour mixture.Very good! Read more
Sunday morning before 10, we just had few minutes wait before got our seats. Friendly staff and the food is great. I can?t... complain, I ate all I ordered. By the time we finished eating the line is already so long outside the restaurant before noon.Restroom available. Parking available and lots of space. Thank you. Read more
Update- tried a new plate, picture below. Quesabirria fries with dipping sauce. Omg it was so good! Loved ???? it! 10+. Went... for breakfast at Norms restaurant, it was really packed as usual. They have some new daily limited time dishes, the waitressrecommended the Huevos Chile Verde from new dishes. Omg it was so good! I give it a 10+ score. ???? It black beans layeredwith Chile Verde sauce with two corn tortillas with melted cheese and pico de Gallo in side and pieces of avocado in the sauce.I did order a side of there delicious ???? pancakes which are the best buttery taste with syrup! Came in by myself for lunch around noon and was seated pretty quickly at the front counter. Ordered the Melting pot omelette... with a short stack of pancakes. My order was taken quickly and food arrived pretty quickly as well (maybe a 10 minute wait). Thehostess and the waitress helping me were very friendly and I think the service here is pretty darn good compared to otherrestaurants, I would say better than most. I enjoyed my experience here but I believed the restroom could use some cleaning butwith the lunch rush it could?ve gotten messy during the rush. Pricing for the omelette which comes with pancakes or other sidesof your choice is about $14 and some change. The Arnold Palmer I ordered is $3.79 a bit pricey in my opinion for the drink butit?s a sign of the times. Overall a great place to stop by for a quick and simple bite. We actually just pulled off the freeway looking for a place to eat, and on our GPS it took us to this restaurant . It was early... morning and we were traveling home from California, the atmosphere was very cool like 60 70 style this place was rocking. Wedidn't wait long to be seated. As we were waiting for our meal, our water came up to our table and asked If we could move intoa booth, and she would give us 15 percent off our food there was a big family that needed the table, we kindly said yes, afterwe finished and were waiting for our check , she came back and said, we gave you 25 percent off instead. We were very surprised????. Earlier we told her we were traveling and had a nice conversation with her. That was a blessing for us , when your on abudget and traveling. Read more
