Love ?? this place can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it before??? Prior to Covid I came here all of the time it was one of... my favorite breakfast spots because I was obsessed with the biscuits. I always got the eggs and love how it came with salad. Ialso very much like the chef specials they recently changed hands I’m looking forward to seeing new menu items. The pizzahere is amazing bc they have a wood fired thing. Craft cocktails are thier specialty at the bar which is very comfortable… theoutside is really great ???? it’s nice to sit outside when the weather is nice. Downtown Claremont was one of my favoritespots before Covid but they were sooo extra during it, it turned me off and I do t go as much anymore … muscle memory I guessand I know it’s LA County so it’s not all their fault but didn’t seem like much of a fight like other areas that didn’tgive in as much … Read more
7/9/22 update: I came here on my anniversary with my husband and made a reservation online a few hours ahead. We were seated... immediately which was nice. We initially just asked for water, but I later ordered an iced tea which I never got (not a bigdeal, didn't bother reminding the waiter because we were pretty much done eating). We ordered and our food came out prettyquickly. We ordered the brussel sprouts, garden salad, margarita pizza, pesto pasta, and pan roasted chicken. Everything waspretty good, but the salad was a liiiiitle too boring (not sure it had any lemon vinaigrette on it or it was very very light)and the pasta under seasoned. The brussel sprouts, pizza, and chicken were great. Original review: I came here for the firsttime and really enjoyed the food. We tried a little of everything and it was all delicious! This place has some of THE BEST cocktails. Any of their classics are a great choice, you can't go wrong with any of them. Drinks were the best part (very pretty mixed drinks and great tasting ) ... had the meatballs small plate (that was good) ...... for dinner had the roasted chicken plate ..yeah not so good.. chicken was hella salty (couldnt even eat it) and the roastedvegetables were over burnt artichokes.. but the mashed potatoes were good. Service was also very slow .. would have order moredrinks but everything took so long including receiving drinks could only try 2 drinks during my time at this restaurant.. Overalnot the best experience but is a nice place for a few drinks Also if u dont like eatting outside then dont eat here that iswhere most of the seating is outside. Read more
Absolute perfection best describes our meals. The Fried Chicken was a whole free range chicken cut up and was the most amazing... delicious crispy battered chicken I've had EVER! How have I gone this long without trying this dish?!?! The flavor of therosemary lemon brine was unbelievable! It was paired with the most perfectly seasoned fried potatoes. The Rigatoni pasta withsausage ricotta cheese broccoli melts in your mouth. The Union Pizza came with a unique blend of toppings that's sure todelightfully surprise you. The outdoor setting was nice and pleasant next to the heaters as we sat looking out toward the streetand people watched as they passed by. Service was impeccable. Went in early on a Friday night. Quick seating and friendly staff. Drinks were a little on the weaker side but the food was... excellent. Ended up ordering the frites and Brussels sprouts for appetizers, and then we had a bunch of items off the dinnermenu. Pizza was good, but the roasted chicken was EXCELLENT. Food here is very good. Open daily after 4pm. Open for brunch on Sat/Sun 10am-2pm. Happy hour starts 2pm, with 30% off. Pizzas... are superb. Parking can be a challenge, best bet is a little further up towards W 4th Street. Read more
