The Common Man Inn is so cozy, it?s really the perfect getaway. Going in the fall is such a surreal experience and I genuinely... believe it?s the best place to stay in the Claremont area. They have an Inn Kitty, Clare. She is so sweet and really adds to theexperience here. Housekeeping is so nice, especially the one who I believe is the boss (blonde, bangs.) Queen. We love her. Thepeople at the front desk are very personable and easy to get along with. The entire experience here felt like an escape fromreality and I?m grateful to have been able to spend time here and enjoy all the amenities and scenery on the outside too. Ifyou?re looking for a hotel, don?t walk here- RUN! I want to rate it 10 stars but the max of 5 will have to do for now. Read more
The Common Man is a local chain of New England - American restaurants. The Claremont one is located in a beautifully renewed... mill building overlooking the Sugar river in the downtown. It has great atmosphere and the food is creative and deliciousalthough definitely on the pricier side. Try the Common Man Ale - it's surprisingly complex golden amber brewed by SmuttynoseBrewing co. Jasmin gets 5 Stars ???? she was amazing. She was fast on her feet, beautiful and just resilient. The cooks, manager and other... staff... let's just say I won't be returning. I didn't get a refund as promised. I know the whole world is hiring but people eattheir food and it should look appealing. My daughter's bread was still frozen, I had dried out chicken on my nachos... it was amess. The wait was ridiculous, we waited to be seated about 40 minutes then waited another hour to eat. Great food, good location and excellent service. If you are a seafood lover, then the Nantucket pie is a must have. Good options... for wines and cocktails as well. They also serve pizza and burgers. Read more
This place is a mainstay on our trips to the Northeast. The hotel is amazing, more on that in another review. The restaurant has... a great, relaxed ambiance. Low lighting, beautiful views of the Sugar River, and an eclectic menu. I'll share more pictureslater, but I'll start with the complimentary bread. Homemade rolls and fresh peach bread make for a bread lovers dream cometrue. The starter of creamy cheesy, bacon and caramelized onion dip makes for a meal on its own. The salmon was delicious andfresh vegetables were very crisp. It was spectacular enough, that we will be there again tomorrow night and more pictures tofollow! Read more
We love the atmosphere, staff and delicious food. My husband's cousin is a bartender there. She is a very good bartender and... coworker. They were short handed, like everyone these days.
