The service was good. They are always friendly The soup and salad was good The dressing is homemade as well as the soup.... The mash potatoes and green beans were fresh and tasty. My husband and I both had the fried chicken and neither of us wereimpressed. There was no flavor to it and the breading was very bland some salt pepper and cayenne would have made a bigdifference. Ever have a hankering for something and then have it not be as good as you wanted it to be? That?s NOT gonna happen... here? Growing up in Texas then moving to Florida, I haven?t had good chicken fried steak in a long time. My search is over? itwas delicious!! Hubby had the Amish Meatloaf. It was all so good. Great spot to dine in, I am glad I got the opportunity to visit and dine in Hammett House, from friendly service to variety of... their menu (salad, soup, maincourse desert) to cleaninig of their toilet and ample parking makes this restaurant one of my topchoices of restaurants I visited. A miss on the food side. Popped in for a family members birthday. Service was fantastic, truly. They were busy yet we did not... wait on anything. Staff was incredibly kind. However, food options are fairly pricy but you do get massive portions. The bulkof the menu is $15+ with a lot of items around the $20 mark. Food overall was not impressive. My portion of our party hadpasta, fried chicken, and catfish. The catfish was far, far too strong and muddy. The pasta cause was not great and neither ofteens ate theirs. Soup was good, salad fine, fried chicken was alright but not the best. Overall, a miss for us. We had atable of 10 total, for my 5 we spent $120 which included a tip of around $15. Far too expensive for entries that were notedible or borderline edible. This is officially removed from our list of places to go in Claremore.
