Sorely disappointed. I ordered a chef salad and onion rings for carryout. The onion rings could've been warmer but they were... probably cool because they came from the freezer....whatever. The salad is where the REAL disappointment comes from. It was anaverage serving of lettuce, no complaints there, but the absence of egg, cheese, and bacon is too much to ignore. Did i mentionthe soggy cucumbers? They should've never been served. I wish I could post the pics I have. Anyways, the only reason I gave twostars is for the decor. Thats 1 for the food, 1 for the atmosphere. I hope this review serves as motivation to step up yourattention to the details of the order.....PLEASE don't let Subway take your business away from you. I finally found myself in town when Grounded was open, so I stopped in to check it out. First, the space is REALLY cool! It's... hip in decor, with lots of space inside for even a bigger party. The space would be really cool for a birthday party orcelebration. I had never been there, so I took a few minutes to look over the menu and decided to try a blended chai tea and acherry turnover, because the pastries looked GOOD. The lady helping me was really nice and the service was good. My drink cameout pretty quick, and I took my items home to enjoy, since it was close to their closing time of 2 pm. Blended Chai Tea: Thisdrink was pretty and the first half was AMAZING. It was perfectly spiced and smooth, and I loved it. However, about halfwaythrough the drink, it tasted like the "chai" part of my drink was gone, and I was left with this kind of strange foamy, icy,whipped-cream-with-a-touch-of-spice drink. Considering how strong the first half of the drink was, the second half was a littledisappointing. However, I would still order this again! Cherry Turnover: Definitely homemade, and very good. The pastry wasmore doughy than flaky, which is actually my preference. The dough wasn't too sweet and had a great flavor to it. There was alittle cream cheese icing on top, which was delicious and really helped cut through the acid of the cherry filling. The cherryfilling was clearly cherry filling from a can, but it was still solid. I really enjoyed my afternoon treat from Grounded, andwould definitely check them out if you are in Clarion. Read more
Grounded is a must visit restaurant if you find yourself in Clarion Iowa. Great coffee, excellent pastries, good food. Staff is... friendly and helpful. Don?t leave Clarion without visiting Grounded. Read more
