Is it a grocery store or taproom? Bowling alley? Gas station? It's all of them! A one stop shop destination, that has probably... the best array of deli options you could possibly ask for and a Taproom Bistro that has 101 beers of tap with exceptional food. Went before going to the Pine Knob Theater for a quick bite and was the best decision we could have made traveling and notknowing what to expect in the area. If a place like Alex's Gourmet Market was where we lived, would not be upset and will be afrequent patron. There's something for everyone when in a group. Definitely worth stopping by if in the area. Alex's claims to be the best gas station ever and it's sorta true. They do have a ton of awesome stuff and it's really a great... market that also has gas pumps. The staff at this location was the only let down. From the cashier to the people at the delithey seemed far too busy on their non customer duties to really notice or help anyone timely, me included. They do have greatstuff though, so worth stopping by for sure. Read more

Fun experience but high prices. I’m not sure what the primary business is as it’s a collection of gas/diesel pumps, “party... store” with a huge selection of alcohol, 4 lane bowling alley, restaurant, gelato/coffee bar, and deli. They also have spacefor events. The atmosphere is chic and fun. We asked for vegan options in the restaurant and we were given several options:hummus, falafel wrap, and lentil soup. Read more

I have been a customer for quite some time and really can't say enough about how amazing Alex's is. It is important to know that... there is more than one location and that not all of them carry the same items. The location at Andersonville Rd. and White LakeRd. is the one with the biggest selection of gourmet items, the one I frequent most and the one this review pertainsto. Looking at the building, you aren't really sure what "gourmet" is going to be, primarily because Alex's is also a gasstation. Then, you walk inside and you are totally mind blown. The market is something I just can't explain, because it's reallythat cool. There is also a restaurant and a bowling alley upstairs. They have a floral section with absolutely gorgeous freshflowers and healthy seasonal plants. There is a huge prepared food section with tons of different options (sushi, middleeastern, Italian, Greek, etc. - literally everything) and a made to order area (if you get a middle eastern bowl, go for thebase that has the raisins in it). They have a butcher and seafood area. Yes, you can buy fresh quality steaks, huge shrimp andking crab legs at a place that sells gasoline. There is a pretty big fancy cheese area, a fresh produce section an ice creamshop and so much more. You really do have to see it to believe it. I bought some tropical avocados, imported from the DominicanRepublic, last weekend that were bigger than my hand and very reasonably priced at $3.99 each. Local grocery stores sellavocados that are much smaller for $2.99 a piece. As far as fuel is concerned, I don't buy gas here because it's considerablyhigher than the other gas stations in the area. For example, regular unleaded was $5.29 a gallon there and $4.99 a gallon at theKroger in Davisburg. If you're in the area, stop in and check them out. You won't be disappointed. Read more

It is gourmet Alex's is a unique place with high end groceries. I wonder how this concept was born, an over priced grocery... store on the bottom with a restaurant, bowling alley and virtual games on the second level. In the market there is a bakery andGelato corner. The Gelato is good but few flavors. The grocery section seems to be almost half liquid items, including a beercave. Upstairs includes, a four lane bowling alley, virtual golf and other virtual games as well as a trendy restaurant. Therestaurant seems like a nice place for a good meal in an updated atmosphere. There is an outdoor deck that can be inclosed withheaters for the long winters, and a great place for groups looking to have fun. Very unique and worth checking out. Read more

Our expectations were higher! The food is OK at the best. While they used high-quality ingredients, our foods were served cold.... All the kabobs were served raw-medium without asking us, and one of our foods came out later than others as it seemed our waitermissed it. This is quite an expensive restaurant, we expected a much better service and food. You could actually buy the samefoods in their market half price. The market has a good variety and a nice collection of liquors, but again, the prices arealmost double compared to other supermarkets. I do not recommend it. Read more

We used Alex's for our company Christmas party this year & HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who wants to eat amazing food & have a... great time! We never knew we could have a party here but we were their first! The venue easily accommodated our group of 70 fortheir first party and I would have NEVER known it was their first. The event coordinator, Hope, made sure everything was exactlyhow I wanted it when I got there as well as having a staff that went above and beyond for us all night. Our team was verysurprised when they walked into the main level of Alex's but were very excited once they saw where we were. We hosted our partyin the basement and later enjoyed games upstairs. We enjoyed appetizers & drinks (the dreamiest fruit platter, gourmet cheesesand crackers, and their staple, the Mediterranean platter) while watching football on their big screens. Followed with adelicious specialty pizza and pasta bar that EVERYONE WILL NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT. We were able to watch football on the bigscreens, play music, a slideshow, and a speech all downstairs in our own area. The area down there is PERFECT. With a coat room, bar, and bathrooms, we had everything we needed and it felt so private! The style is great for anything, fancy or not. The brickand wood walls go perfectly with the chandeliers and pretty tables/chairs. We later took our party upstairs to the third floorwhere we enjoyed the golf simulator, virtual reality, and 4 bowling lanes. We had people floating from the basement to the thirdfloor all night but our waitresses still accommodated us the whole night on BOTH floors. We couldn't have asked for more! Hopeworked closely with me to ensure this party was exactly what I wanted while staying in a budget. I am looking forward to workingwith her again in the near future. Team Heritage are big fans of Alex's!!! Read more

If you live in Waterford, White Lake, Clarkston, Milford or Highland or anywhere within 25 miles, then this is a must stop!! It... is like a Plumb Market and Papa Joe's but more quaint. Get your gas, pick-up your gourmet prepared meals, buy your wine orliquor from their large selection BUT most of all enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by chef Matt Bray. I was blown away by theplating and the of course the taste of the meals pictured here. The food has a mediterranean flare but you can also order theKorean barbecue wings and the boom boom shrimp! The salmon dinner, OMG! I found out from talking to the chef that they offerpiedmontese beef which is rare to find and that they offer Toothfish glacier 52 chilean sea bass. This is one of the finestfish you will eat. All the meals seem to be of a high caliber standard at very reasonable prices. I hear that they will beopening up a reception venue in the lower level by beginning of 2022 and will host 150 person parties. Be sure to say hello toHope, the manager. She is kind and knows the meu options well. This is not a drive by, it is a stop by and stay for awhile kindof place! Enjoy and Bon' Appetit! Read more
