Great off the beaten path restaurant. The Ribs had great flavor, were very moist and the meat pulled off the bone easily. The... Shrimp were cooked perfectly. The carrots tasted very good but were a little softer than I like. That being said, I'd order themagain because of the flavor. I also had their salad bar. It's a great salad bar and easy to get to much. The price was fairconsidering the great meal I had. Get there early because this place gets busy and the wait will get long. Very casual dining, with a cottage type feel. There's a view of the Cowan Lake spillway. Service was excellent, and food was... yummy. Could be played a bit nicer for the price, but overall a great experience. Read more
Was looking for a new place to try out and Googled ?hidden gem restaurants near me? and Spillway Lodge showed up. Truly a hidden... treasure. The decor was so adorable and cozy. The food was so delicious and you get SO much of it. Our server was an angel andtook great care of us. And the peanut butter pie? Amazing ?? Read more
What a great little place. Only two miles away from the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington overlooking the spillway leading... to a small lake. Chickens were pecking in the yard it wasn't too crowded. The food was tasty although a bit on the pricey side.Kiah really went out of her way to serve us. There's grilled cheese sandwich's for the kids and steak for mom and dad. Ifinterested in a leisurely time, check it out. Enjoy the view of the spillway. Read more
Pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous views. The food was good and our waitress was awesome. Not sure if it's worth the 30 minute... wait on a Saturday, but it works. I had the steak and shrimp and it was delicious. I was disappointed they asked us to waitoutside or in the car while waiting for a table. That seems a bit excessive considering it was over 90 outside and there was aplace to wait right inside the door. Read more
