I?ve never been to a hibachi restaurant where they charge you $2.50 extra to have fried rice instead steamed rice. Isn?t that... part of the experience?!? Also, everything tasted like burnt grease. The food is a 4.5 star. The atmosphere is a 5 star. Waitstaff is a 5 star. Price: is a 4 star (is a little high but most... Japanese steakhouses are.) Location is a 3.5 star (its a nice location but its in a small strip mall, so no realscenery.) Conclusion of Hananoki: 4.5 stars. In Summary, its a great place to take a date or business lunch. The location isin a small strip mall but it's not tacky. I would go again and I would encourage you to go as well. Read more
Not terrible. Some of the food is good, but chef mixed up the steaks he was cooking and gave us the wrong kind. The waiter... brought out our appetizer during the entree being served (After we asked him about it) and never brought out our sushi until weasked about that (after entrees were done). The waiter told us we never ordered any. Oddly enough we had the pencil stillsitting next to us from the form we filled out and handed him....our fellow dinners confirmed we had handed the order right tothe server. We went to have a drink in the bar before they closed in 45 minutes, the actual bartender ignored the fact weexisted and what I think was a manager poured some drink. Had one and felt like we were in the way of their closing duties. Itwas 2145 and the close at 2230, wasn?t like we were there past or right before closing time. Very underwhelming. My family and I went there last night. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! Usually it?s great, but last night our server only came to the... table twice. We had one drink our entire meal! He never came back for refills until we were nearly done with our food. I askedfor a drink menu and he never came back to take my order. I had to go to the front to ask for my server and SURPRISE! No one waseven there. I waited about 4 minutes and then gave up. When our sushi arrived they served it without any chopsticks ????. Ourserver never asked us how our meal was, if we were okay or needed anything else. Terrible experience. I think the servers namewas Kevin? Younger kid with tattoos on his right arm, dark hair. If you don?t have exceptional serving skills you shouldn?t beworking at an establishment like that. Other than the service the food was amazing as always. Read more
The Hibachi is obviously the most popular here. We ordered the wagyu equivalent Japanese Steak which was very tender and the... scallops were not overcooked unlike the lobster which was a disappointment. Read more
We got an impromptu night out alone and wanted hibachi. We ended up having the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter, Jake was... great fun, even when I asked if he could walk over and grab me a coke from Kroger(they have Pepsi products) Our cook gave us alittle extra show since we were the only ones at the table. The food portions were huge, and the best we've had. It was a greatdate night with great service and great food. My only recommendation is switch to coke! Read more
