This is not BBQ. The wait staff is brand new (as of this morning) and the older newest person is training the younger newest... person. My wife ordered "Burnt Heaven" but it was a trip to the other place you go when you are bad. Large, fatty, heavilysauced cubes of roast beef with a minimal touch of char. Sauce was good, but burnt ends it is not. The side of onion rings wassad. Chewy is not a good attribute for onion rings straight out of the fryer. Obviously cooked from frozen in stale cooking oil.The slaw was colorful and crisp, but there was a slight flavor in it I just couldn't place. My three chicken tacos were verygood! They had the aforementioned slaw as a component, but an application of their sauce from the bottle on the table fixed it.OK, staff is new which is OK because we made a point of telling the lady at the register this was our first visit. Our warningdidn't help much. We ordered and paid (and I joined their loyalty club). They handed us a number and we found a table. Well, wedidn't wait for our drinks (our bad) but when another server brought our order she didn't bring our libations. My wife askedwhere they might be and the server told us to go back to the register to retrieve them. When my wife went to the register, shecouldn't have my beer because she wasn't the one who ordered it. So, I went to the register to be carded. I paid a tip forservice, so I have no idea why she just didn't bring the drinks and card me at table side. Oh, and they were out of Bud Lighttoday. Well, there's no active supervision here. When we left, the most organized thing I saw was the smoke break in the parkinglot next to the food truck. Hey, I know times may be tough, but the stuff I ordered wasn't at a discount, either. At 12:30 pm ona Saturday (well, UT was playing LSU) you could fire a cannon through the store and not hit anyone. Gosh, it's tough to run arestaurant and I wish them luck. No owner to be seen today. We won't be back. Read more

My kids and I went to Legions for my birthday today at 6pm. The open was not on so we were confused as to if they were open. We... got inside and the young girl at the counter was nice. We ordered our food and sat and waited about 10 min. When the foodarrived our dirty fried looked awful. My 26 yr old and 15 yr old refused to eat it. My burnt ends were covered in a bland sauceand yet somehow still dry. Mac and cheese was elbow macaroni and bread crumbs. No cheese anywhere to be found. My son's pork nroll was bland and the cinnamon roll reminded him of a gas station honey bun. Another table that was so eating returned the foodand asked for a refund because it was also not up to par. The lady called the food gross. This was our second time to eat atlegends. Maybe if you go earlier in the day the food us better. I'm so disappointed! Read more

Got the brisket with a side of potato salad and baked beans. Really delicious, I didn't realize it came as a sandwich and wish... would have preferred two slices of brisket and no bread but everything was cooked really well. The real star of my meal was thewarm peach cobbler! I am always looking for a place with delicious sweet treat and this really hit the spot! Read more

First, let me say the redone G's Pancake looks phenomenal. Second, I applaud local businesses expanding or doing better. Kudos... to Legends Smokehouse. Barbecue, is subjective like all foods. I didn't particularly like the food at Legends. I prefer thebarbecue at Excel Market. Of course, Excel Market does not have a nice restaurant like Legends Smokehouse does. The foodordering setup was chaotic at best,, but the service was super friendly and well staffed. The restaurant itself was nicelooking. Especially if you had been to the previous establishment. It was the food where Legends was lacking. The barbecuewas thick cut and bland tasting. It was not the worst but it certainly was not the best. The sides were like they were out ofa can. Nothing was awful but nothing was like, wow. Despite my lack of enthusiasm, you deserve it to yourself to at least tryLegends Smokehouse. The people are very friendly, the atmosphere is very inviting and it might just be what you are hankeringfor. Read more
