The Summertime roll was so good that we ate most of it before we took a photo. We had salmon sushi and Toro as well. The salmon... was top notch. The Toro was good but it seemed to have a surprise taste addition. Fast friendly service at the bar. Great placeto stop on a road trip. AND, it was Sake Tuesday. $2 for large Sake. Heck of a deal! My wife and I were in search of a nice sit down meal to celebrate some milestones. We settled on sushi and found Yellowtail... Robata Grill and Sushi. We had a good time overall but here was the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: We arrived earlyFriday evening, and it was a good thing we did. While this place has ample seating, it definitely got busy quite quickly. By thetime we left, 55 minutes later, there were people waiting for tables. The server asked us if we had been there before, andafter telling her we had not she explained the menu. The server was attentive and the food arrived quickly. We started withvegetable tempura. It was light, crispy, and very tasty. I could have eaten multiple as my meal and I would have been veryhappy. For dinner we chose a California Roll, fried California Roll, Philadelphia Roll, and a Crunchy Roll. It was the perfectamount for the two of us. Just like appetizer, the food was great. The bad: While our server was attentive, she seemed a bitpushy as if she was trying to up-sell on every. She asked if we wanted anything from the bar and appetizers, which I see asbeing standard. When we ordered just four sushi rolls she asked if we wanted other items from the dinner menu. When we said thatwe would just have sushi she looked surprised as if we should have ordered more. The ugly: While I covered the server beingpushy, she brought it to another level toward the end of the meal. When we first sat down and ordered our drinks, my wifeordered something from the bar. I ordered a soda and explained that I was driving so I would not be drinking alcohol. Throughoutthe meal the server brought me refills. At the end of the meal we contemplated having dessert and my wife ordered a second drinkfrom the bar. New to Clarksville (from Nashville) and happy to find Yellowtail! We visited about 8pm on a Saturday, so it was obviously busy,... but the sushi bar was wide open. We sat immediately and were treated to very friendly & cheerful service. High quality food,enjoyable atmosphere, reasonable/suitable prices for the quality means we'll be repeat customers here. Over rated, over priced, and over cooked! I gave it 3 stars because the calamari was delicious! The side salad with the dressing... was nasty. The side soup that comes with the entrée is chicken broth. No other choices for the diners that are vegetarian! Theshrimp were over-cooked and the fried rice was tasteless! Read more
