PLEASE STOP GIVING THIS CHICKEN SHACK YOUR BUSINESS!!! I wish I didn?t have to give any stars! The older lady with the purple... hair that claims to be the manager Hedi is so very RUDE! I had placed an order over the phone at 2:30pm she said it would be20-25 minutes. I came a little after 3pm to give them more time as I completely understand places are short staffed. When I gotthere I went to the counter paid and stepped to the side I had thought she went to get the food. I Patiently waited even gavethem until 3:30 an hour after I placed the order I went back up to the counter and politely, very nicely and in a low voiceasked ? I was just wondering if you have a time frame of when the order would be done?? Mind you there are 3 other people inthere waiting as well. She turns to the girl cooking the food and says very loud ?NOW CUSTOMERS ARE YELLING AT ME!? notunderstanding what I did wrong by nicely asking her about my order that is now over an hour late. I asked her ?excuse me mam whois yelling at you? I just asked you when my order would be ready? So I?m not sure how you took that as yelling?? She explodedat this point screaming ? IM CRIPPLED, SHES PREGNANT, YOU CAN LEAVE!? (There was much more!) At this point the pregnant girlcooking the food has my order ready so Hedi takes the potatoes and fries slams them in the bag the containers break open allover the bag. She throws the bags at me screams at me to ?LEAVE AND NEVER COME BACK!? I was completely Mortified andembarrassed. I also had my son with me who was upset by this as well. I was in tears it was absolutely awful! We could not eatthe food at this points I tired to give the food back and get a refund and she absolutely refused said they can?t refund creditcards and I have to go to corporate. The number I was given was bogus! Something needs to happen for this to be made right! ****I placed and payed for a new order at the chicken shack on Woodward and WOW! the best customer service! Wish there was a no star review, completely screwed up my order, gave me the wrong food the the little snotty girl on the phone... gave me an attitude and said I ordered wrong. Even as I read my order off the receipt she still insisted it was my fault. Wouldn't give me a refund on my card but the little snit did offer me a free coke to make up for them giving me the wrong food. Had to reverse the charges thru my card company and still didn't get to eat!! Absolutely the worst place around. When YOUscrew up make it right!!!!! Read more
What can I say. There ribs are awesome, the chicken is great grilled or fried and the coleslaw is the best.. watch out the... broasted potatoes you will eat too many ,they are that good! By the way, they never called or email me about the $$$$ service they gave me and my family! Its been 15 days! This is the... receipt, customer #6.!!!!! WOW !!!!! Too the owner, or owners! This is unacceptable. Owner needs to be more involved andthe manager should looking over the staff. Chicken was well done! Who likes dry chicken! Please people read reviews.! 59.00for dry chicken. I was so excited to visit this restaurant. It's a favorite of mine that is not available outside of Michigan, so while I was in... town I didn't miss the opportunity to stop in and get a carry out. I was so excited to finally get to savor my favorite BBQchicken, that I rushed back to my place without first checking the order. When I got to my destination, I was disappointed tofind my chicken completely naked. I returned to the restaurant where the cashier offered me sauce to dip the chicken into????...That's kinda not how it goes. They did remake my order by taking the chicken that I had, redipping it in grease, and thencoating it in the sauce. It wasn't the taste that I was longing for at all. Honestly, I was disappointed. Chicken shack does fried chicken really well. What that means is a nice, crispy outer layer along with a tender and flavorful... center. The shack potatoes are a huge hit and pair well with the chicken. I also recommend coleslaw to balance out the meal. Iwould recommend you try this place! Read more
In what planet is it okay to serve your customers burnt potatoes? I was not able to eat these obviously very burnt potatoes! I... come here often and usually love the food but last week was horrendous. My husband picked up for us and I was so excited for thebuttered potatoes (my favorite item) only to receive BURNT potatoes. I know the staff butter the potatoes after the cooks frythem, how can two people decide that serving this was okay? The only reason it has 2 stars is because their food is always phenomenal. I used to always love coming here, but recently I've... noticed this location is going downhill at a steep decline. After placing my order, to which I was told would take 15 minutes, Iended up having to wait 49 minutes. I understand maybe an unexpected rush pops up but while standing and waiting for my food forover a half hour, I noticed there was no sense of urgency in the employee's step. They moved nonchalantly, oftentimes juststanding around if there wasn't something directly in front of them, and completely messed up my order, for which I alreadypaid. Considering this was already an hour ordeal, I decided not to pursue the issue, but I can say with no hesitationwhatsoever, my business with them is done. Read more
