The Woodpile sandwich is quite an adventure. I only ate half and was quite satisfied. When I asked if they had sweet tea, a... bottle of Gold Peak is not what I expected ... disappointing for an otherwise nice BBQ place. Read more

All star ratings are for the bathroom, not the establishment. So if you anticipate having a situation here... the bathroom is... around the front behind an unmarked door. It's a single bathroom with just one toilet. It's relatively clean and nice. If youhave to pee, you're probably fine, but I'd you need to poo, you might see a line form. Read more

Everything was fine. Maybe next time I will not choose lean brisket, cause it actually felt a little dry. But this is on me. The... sides where how I imagined and the location with that "half" patio is amazing. Just feels comfy, especially in summer. Read more

New to the area and being from Memphis, we were looking for a good BBQ place. This one didn?t disappoint. We?ve been here twice... now and I can honestly say the brisket here is some of the best I?ve had. We tried all the meats via the pit master Platter andall were good, but the brisket was off the hook. Staff has been friendly and accommodating on both visits. Will definitely bemaking this a regular stop! Read more

BBQ Monday!! @clawsonbbq Woodpile BBQ Shack in Clawson in Michigan. Once I saw the candied bacon on the menu nothing else... mattered. But I did the 2 meat with St Louis Ribs & Burnt Ends plus Bacon, Mac n Cheese & Cole Slaw. You can smell thesmoker going, No frills, but high on flavor. Meat is served dry so you can pick from one of 4 sauces or go bare-back. (the burnt ends are served with their signature sauce ). Meat was tender and smokey. Burnt ends had a little crunch. TheMac-n-cheese has crunchies on top. Candied bacon is not too sweet and has a great thickness. 2 locations. Yep. This one isa ?best bite? Read more

This place was pretty good! The brisket is what they're known for and I can taste why! It was sooo good. The chicken was tender... and the sweet potato mash was sooo sweet. The BBQ sauce was tasty, too. I like my greens more salty and sultry than sweet andspicy, so I wouldn't order that again. But it's just a different way of cooking them that's still good. Parking is on thestreet or in their little lot. NOTE the lot across the street is for the other restaurant. Read more

My daughter and I both had the $10.00 pulled pork lunch special. The lunch special included the sandwich, choice of side and a... soft drink. The pork was very good and lean. Several sauces to choose from that were tasty. Great BBQ and an excellent value. Will definitely come back! Read more

Been wanting to come here for a few years from out of town in Ohio drove about an hour and 15 minutes to come here as there's... not very many good barbecue locations where I live at. Went and placed our food and ate in the bar area food was decently therewas a lot of fat on the burnt ends and brisket that I got the macaroni and cheese didn't taste very good it was very Bland coldthe ribs were the best sweet potato mash and the jalapeno cheddar sausage didn't care for the chicken or the pork. But overallstill definitely recommend this restaurant and definitely would come back in the near future. Read more
