i'm a black 72 year old basketball coach in swainsboro ga... i travel from my home in claxton daily to swainsboro for... practice... i usually stop in metter to get potato logs to put something in my stomach and take my pills... never had a problemin metter... nice people.. good service... i recently started stopping at the parkers in claxton so as to not have to rush toget to metter before 4 oclock when they stopped serving... buying potato logs in claxton i noticed that in every box of 8... 4of them would be so small that they were barely the size of my pinky finger... i mentioned this to some friends and they toldme that i was not the only one complaining about this... several people have told me that the white servers give the larger foodportions to their white customers and give the black customers the smaller portions... this doesn't surprise me about claxton...i won't be going back to the claxton store unless it's an absolute necessity... and i also agree about the attitudes of theworkers... someone needs to tell them that they are not doing us a favor by working there... there are plenty of places for usto spend our money... I buy diesel there every week. For the last three weeks it's taken 30 minutes to get $25 in diesel. It usually take $120 to fill... my truck up. I don't have an hour to fill my truck. Each time I've brought it to the employees attention and they all say thesame thing " we can't help you with that ,that's not our job." Well someone needs to do something. Busy Friday...no ice in any of the soda fountain dispensers, trash cans outside overflowing, no window washer cleaner at all in... any of the bins - not low, bone dry like it had not been filled in days, employees full of excuses while standing aroundlaughing and gossiping or playing on cell phones...wow Read more
I have been a Parker?s customer ever since the brothers opened in Claxton. That said I will not be going back. The self service... is a joke. The entire town thinks the same. Before self service was introduced the drive-in had quick friendly service. Nowthere?s always a long line and most times you have to wait before your order can be placed. I?m sure there must be a reason forthese changes but have yet to under them. GOOD BYE CHEWY ICE???? Read more
I normally love this place but not no more....on top of not selling the CBD products I need but just today i got gas at pump 4... and about fell hard enough to injure myself. Now being in this town with a lot of (respectfully) elderly folks, that could havereally injured them or even me if I had not caught myself . ...upon my husband asking if they could clean up the spill they toldhim no.....so when yal get sued for not using a spill kit on the gas....just know 8t was your own faults.spill Read more
