Food was very good. Cool little place. Our only issue was the wait time. Everyone kept saying they were sorry, but people were... sitting down after us and getting their food before us. I think our ticket got lost. Other than that, the food was great. Read more

We love visiting Clayton, GA. The Clayton Cafe is a great little local restaurant. The owner and staff were so friendly and... attentive. The potato flats are a must try item. They also had an interesting combination that we nicknamed ?groovy flats?(potato flats and gravy) Every item we tried was excellent. Visited again for breakfast and had chicken and waffles. It wasgreat. The market next door is fabulous with coffee, baked items, sandwiches and take home casseroles. Highly recommend. Read more

Went to their first Spaghetti Dinner for a cause, raising money for Rabun County Veterans. The food was delicious, especially... the brownie. I love businesses that give back to their community. Great work! They plan to have these events once a quarter socheck out their Facebook for the next one. I know I can't wait! Read more

My wife and I came here for dinner while visiting Clayton for the weekend, and the food was good and the service was really... good. It was a little pricey but it looks like their prices went up recently due to the pandemic. I got the buffalo chickensandwich and sweet corn nuggets. The sandwich came on white bread or Texas toast instead of a bun but it was good, and the cornnuggets were pretty good too. My wife got the Philly cheese steak with squash casserole as a side. The Philly cheese steak wasgood but the squash casserole was a little bland, it wasn't bad but just wasn't amazing or anything. It's a solid restaurantwith a lot of items on the menu that looked good, so we would go back again. Read more

AMAZING home cooked food! The onion rings are hand battered, the sweet potato fries had cinnamon super delicious! Everything on... our plates were excellent. Expect a large plate and to be extremely full. Our waitress Cheyenne was AWESOME, we never had to askfor refills. She took very good care of us. Definitely recommend this place! They were packed even on a rainy day! Read more

Dropped in with my wife and three kids. Great atmosphere and very clean. Our waitress was very good and knows the menu. I had... the Wow burger with a side of Mac n Cheese. My wife had the Country Fried steak with sawmill gravy, mashed potatoes/gravy, andthe Squash casserole plus the cheese biscuit. The kids had chicken tenders, salad w/ shrimp, and cheeseburger with fries. My Wowburger was awesome. It had a cooked-to-perfection burger patty with fried green tomato, bacon, pimento cheese, and comebacksauce to top. The bun appears to be a brioche. It all works well together and is a great combination of flavors. It ranks asone of my top 5 burgers. The Mac n Cheese is some of the best I?ve ever had. My wife enjoyed her Country fried steak as well asher sides. The star of the show was the squash casserole. There were no complaints from the kids regarding their meals asevidenced by the empty plates. Overall, we love this place and will definitely be back. Read more
